if you look back at past britney vma performances (which you can see on youtube) you can see how into it she was, she loved what she was doing and you could tell. her spark is gone 100% she looked out of it and her dance moves were saying to the world that she did not want to be there, it was the most half assed performance i have ever seen. britney spears is officially done and i think its whats best for her because she doesnt give a shit anymore. and she used to be an amazing dancer what the fuck happened??

I laughed my ass off the entire time!

She looked drunk, confused, fat, lost, embarrassed, etc., etc. It was like she didn't even rehearse because she didn't know the dance! Not to mention her lip-syncing was soooo off! I mean, I knew she did it, but I didn't really care before because she was so hot and such an amazing dancer. Not anymore! She just kind of walked in circles, watched the dancers to see what they were doing, and it was like she kept on forgetting she was right in the middle of a performance because she kept missing words!

OMG. It was so bad. I could keep on going, but everyone already knows: old, good Britney is GONE. In her place, the chubby housewife with the bad hair and the screaming kids on her hip and a bottle of vodka in her hand. Awful. She must be so embarrassed.

I have never been a fan of Britney's hypersexual kiddie porn persona. I think her over sexual image is not "liberating" but something that teaches girls that being sexy and sexual makes you valuable, not the person inside.

Putting all that tto the side, I think Britney is a talented singer (yes, singer) and dancer. I have seen sparks of true beauty and art in her music. The problem is every one expects her to return to her former glory as a sexxed up pop star. The public should drop that and Britney should drop that and begin her journey as a true musical artist. She should make songs about her journey thru life, love, and loss. She can do that. I hope she has the courage to drop and even to some extent, renounce elements of her former career, esp. parts that have contributed to the degradation of our culture. I hope the best for Britney. Our hearts break for her. She really can turn all of this into something good though.

i am not a fan of britney and never have been, and couldn't care less about her opening or "comeback" really. that being said, while this performance was certainly less than spectacular and probably not the wisest choice to open the show, I hardly think it was as horrendous as everyone is making it out to be. Aside from her "costume" looking straight out of a Victoria Secret catalog and a bad wig (or is that her bad real hair already?,) I think she looked half decent. Unless you could get up there and do it better (doubt it,) give the bitch a break.

Get off Britney's nuts. The truth is the fans all expected too much, (thanks press/media for all the lies) and the non-fans were going to talk shit regardless of how good it was. Anyone who's followed her for more than a couple years knows she's a sensitive and light-hearted person, so I think she did extremely well considering the shitstorm media circus surrounding her these past 3 years. I doubt 95% of the celebrities there would have the balls to attempt that if they had been going through the same.
Anyway, the performance was still a success because she is performing again, and MTV milked the ratings from her tits (which looked nice).

I think it was just nerves, she looked extremely terrified. She seemed like she could barely move, a couple times she looked like she really wanted to get into it but was just petrified. It's been a long time and a lot more people were waiting for her to fail, good on her for getting it up there and giving it a go, it may not have been her best performance but I'm honestly glad she got up there and did it. I wonder how easily any of you could have done that, and she looks fucking hot, AND she's had two kids!

the best thing about this performance was the amazing job Britney's back-up dancers did. they distracted us from having to look at her beer belly! they held back vomit while they gyrated on her! think of all the muscles pulled and shoulders strained as they hoisted that heifer up.

Amanda Bynes Arrested In New York City AND Taken To Psychiatric Hospital!!!!!!

Amanda Bynes had a run-in with the popo in NYC on Thursday night, which resulted in her arrest AND subsequent taking to a psychiatric hospital!

Police showed up at the former child star's midtown apartment after receiving reports of a disorderly person. And that's when shit got crazy!

When the NYPD arrived at Bynes' pad on West 47th Street, she threw a bong out the window, cuz it probably had crack "incense" in it, and she didn't want law enforcement to find it.

Twitter-loving Amanda was arrested on a charge of reckless endangerment.

After her arrest, Bynes was taken to Roosevelt Hospital to undergo a psychiatric evaluation, and then transferred to a Midtown police station to be processed.

Hopefully they send her BACK to the hospital and put her on a psychiatric hold!
