Oh no no. Actually, to blame would be her LABEL for "leaking" her tracks and starting the "Britney Comeback Parade". Once they began the stirring of the pot, the media just came and slopped it up like a biscuit to gravy.

I'm hardly a fan, but I expected at least some ounce of "giveashitalitis". I mean, holy crap, she barely seemed able enough to walk, let alone dance on stage. "Gimme More" sounded like a track that could rival "Toxic", but her performance, I think, definitely leaves a foul taste in her fans mouth. After that performance, I really feel bad for her. She needs some time to just mend and rest, seriously.

MTV told Criss & Brit his mirrors idea was "too Controversial" and that Palms Resort wouldn't approve it, adding that the mirrors didn't have the right "insurance to be put around the stage. So the performance was changed last minute. Someone from Brit's MySpace is claiming this. This is not a disaster. A disaster would be for her to have a meltdown on stage. A disaster would be for her to pass out in the middle of the performance. This is only a moderate, though slightly disappointing, attempt. I loved the performance, even though it was not her best. I believe she will do way better than this next time and eventually be up on top again. She still needs more time, which is okay. She will rise above the negativity and remind everyone of why she became famous in the first place. And about her body…yes, she is chubbier…but come on! She had two kids. I have to be honest. I only watched the VMAs to see Britney's performance so I can't comment on how bad the overall show was. However, Britney was awful. It was almost disrespectful. She was performing for a host of her peers. Her performance looked like a walk through rehearsal. She didn't lip synch well and her expressions and demeanor sucked. I won't comment on how she looked because I am a big girl and only hoped that I could wear what she did but my God! She must feel very comfortable with herself and she must think she will be successful no matter what. Maybe she will. Let's see how her new music ranks on the charts. I never write on these, but I was secretly pulling for Britney and she blew it. She appeared lifeless on stage. She looked sad, like she was just going through the motions. The lip synching and dancing was not sharp and on cue. Her backup dancers gave way more effort and thus, were the only enjoyable part to watch. Britney was like watching an animal at the zoo, a little cute at first, but boring after nothing amazing happens. Gone are the days of serpent dancing and hot kisses with Madonna.

This woman obviously needs to get help. Yet all you can do is criticise something you forced her to do. If she had been skinny for this performance I bet nobody would have been complaining. She's obviously very damaged at the moment and someone needs to take responsibility for it and get her the help she needs. She needs to be kept out of the media spotlight. Or you can carry on amusing yourselves, stalking her, pushing her further, she'll probably end up dead. And then you'll make her a martyr, like the bunch of stupid selfish shallow-minded hypocrites you are. Darn Gosh it, I wish *I* was living the American dream like Ms. Spears.
