Conspiracy theories abound as to why her VMA performance sucked.
According to the NY Post:
- On Saturday, the day before the VMAs, Spears was scheduled to arrive at rehearsal at around 1 p.m. Our spy said, "She didn't even get to Las Vegas until 4:30 p.m. It was ridiculous . . . The production people at MTV were freaking out . . . Nobody can tell Britney what to do anymore. No one can control her. She is a mess."
- When she arrived in Vegas, Spears didn't go straight to rehearsals. "She went to her hotel room and ordered a bunch of food and some frozen margaritas," the spy said. "She came down, like, an hour later with a frozen margarita in her hand."
- "The dance number was spectacular - without her," said our spy at rehearsal. "When the stand-in was rehearsing with the dancers, in the hours they were all waiting for her, it was amazing. Then Britney showed up and refused to do anything. The dancers were supposed to lift and twirl her in the air a few times, and that just wasn't going to happen. The more complicated dance moves had to be erased because she couldn't do them."
- "The dancers were texting pals, asking them to pray for them. They were worried."
- "MTV wanted her to wear a corset outfit. It would have looked great and covered a lot of things up, but she hated it and didn't think it was sexy enough."

first of all we all know that is not a real picture. But brittany looks great and she is NOT fat. Having a baby will give you curves in all the right places. You can tell that she has been working out to make the curves work for her. The problem is that everything about her performance that night screamed "last minute". From the hair to the outfit to the dance routine, it was clear that she was not prepared and that is what is so disappointing. She is in great shape, but the outfit she wore only pointed out that she still has a little "jiggle" in her belly and a sway in her back. Those two things are ok in and of themselves, but that outfit just made them stand out thus giving her an overweight appearance. Therefore it was a poor wardrobe choice for a "come back, everything has to be perfect because the whole world will be watching" performance.

Britney did not look like she used to on the VMA's the other night- but she did not look as bad as these pics on your website. People, US Magazine, Google, whatever seem to have pics showing a smaller Britney- so evidently you are photo-shopping these, which makes me wonder if you do that to all of your pics.

first off i saw the vma's to watch her performance and let me say she wasnt nowhere near that big and i think everyone should get off the britney subject and just leave her alone, shes obviously dealing with some stuff at this point and all the snarky remarks the media and people have to say isnt being of any help. i agree she has made many mannyyy mistakes this year but maybe if she got the fucking support she needed she might be able to make the comeback we have all been hoping for.
