Britney Spears may be apologizing for her shiteous VMA performance at the Emmy Awards this Sunday, Us Weekly is reporting.
The Emmy producers are "in negotiations" with Spears camp - NOT to perform on the show, thankfully. Instead, Britney would come on the awards to say she's sorry, like we said she should.
Us reports that while the former pop star's appearance has not yet been confirmed, "the idea is to have her come on and apologize for the VMAs. She's weighing the offer."

Some within Spears' inner circle are urging her to do the mea culpa.
A source close to the mother of two tells Us: "I can't say this is 100 percent not true. All I can say is that the Emmy people aren't dealing with her record company, her manager or her agents at William Morris. So if she is doing anything for the Emmys then it's not going through the official channels."
If Britney DOESN'T do this apology on Sunday, then she's even stupider than we already think she is! The stupiditest!
