This girl is going to be the next big thing, trust me. She has the looks of a model, absolutely breathtaking. Mariah can't compete now, and she couldn't have in her hayday either. Leona is naturally slender with curves, beautiful eyes, beautiful complexion, lovely hair, everything about her is great. And her voice? I wouldn't say she is quite on Whitney/Mariah level yet, but she is very, very close and I don't doubt that she will be up there very soon.
As for her blandness? Shut the hell up. She is not bland, she is a lovely person without the ego that most superstars have. Besides, every star starts out shy (unless they're bigheaded asshole). Whitney, Britney, Christina… they were all sweet little things when they started out. Now they're anything but.

I watched her all the way through the x-factor and yeah she can sing, but she is not a superstar, she doesnt comand your attention on stage, she isnt good at promoting - shes still very young and has talked a lot about her own insecurities which isn't making her a good role model to young girls. She has no personality but her family are adorable and she comes from a poor background so i wish her all the success in the world - she just needs time to grow up without the media attention which has done so much good for Britney =S
PLUS if you've listened to her talking on stage through-out xfactor, she repeated the same things every night, every week, thanking everyone coming across as very full of herself and arrogant, yeah at first just thankful but it got too much and became too fake. She is doing exactly what shes told do to without question. That in itself makes her unoriginal and fake - music nowadays is never original, so so far its not so good for Leona.

She's a great singer but the one thing that she is missing in her voice is SOUL. Its kind of Empty. Leona can pretty much belt out notes amazingly, better than most singers today, BUT in order to make it in America she will have to be packaged very well. Remember, in this day, sadly popularity does not depend on talent, only on how one is presented. For example Deborah Cox (I bet you havent heard of her) had a big hit, "Nobody's Supposed to Be Here" and pretty much has a voice that was as good or better than Mariah, Whitney, Christina or celine. however she wasnt really packaged in such a way to get peoples attention and I'm pretty sure that she's working at Mc Donald's now.
