According to Nielsen info, the telecast was the second worst in Emmy history.

well they were boring…I don't think it was his fault… so ratings not his problem….actually thought he was as good of a host as anyone else they have had in recent history….. the gay outfit joke…..that was lame..but the rest was fine. I don't like seacrest and think he is smug and too full of himself…but he does do a decent job. I give him a solid b performance.

I didn't watch the Emmy Awards Show last night, cause I knew that it was going to be garbage. They don't have any great shows out on TV these days. The drama shows sucks, the comedy shows are corny. The Emmys were spectacular, great show, great script. And Ryan Seacrest it's a truly proffesional, he was really great. It's funny that you measure talent by ratings. The MTV awards were crap and they got good ratings, remember Britney? Remember the vulgarity and the shit of that show? I watched both and I can tell you something, if the MTV got good ratings and the Emmys bad ones, then something it's truly wrong with America.

I don't think it's his fault. I think it sucked b/c it was over 3 hours long and it had that cheap looking, sad excuse for a stage. Isn't the emmy supposed to be glamourous? What part of an arena, with people sitting on fold up chairs, with a stage in the middle (so the presenters back can be to 1/2 the audience) seems glamourous to ANYONE? I don't think it was his fault the ratings were shit. I think it was Fox's own fault- for trying to make the Emmy's look like the next American Idol. You know the stars didn't feel like it was a glamourous occasion.

I couldnt believe that had all the best actors & actresss in hollywood get dressed up sit them in what looked like a collage basketball auditorium, & then to top it off salute them by making them sit trough that hidous Family Guy introduction. Having watched most of the show, I don't think it was as much Ryan Seacrest as it was the people, and shows, who kept winning. If others are anything like me, they got sick of seeing the Soprano's win because it was there last season on the air. The show was AWFUL this season. How did it beat out these other amazing shows (Heroes for example)? I just couldn't watch anymore and changed the channel.

It was painful. He did nothing to advance the process and did everything to detract from it. A high point for me was Madame Scritch and Ellen. The usual Bush bashing with a sledge hammer was over the top, but they all feel they come from a higher plane so what else is new from the indulged forever not connected to reality crowd. All in all, a snoozer in the round, I channel surfed many times during the program.

The minute I heard Brittany might be there to apolgize for her VMA performance, I was disgusted and found something else to do last night. I think Fox could have found a more mature host. The Emmy's are about all of TV/Hollywood, not just the trainwreck of the moment. I did tune in the last few minutes, heard Sally Field get censored, why don't they learn to keep their opinions to themselves at these things, thats why people aren't watching. I was shocked to see how many stars have passed away this year. Was glad "30 Rock" won over Ugly Betty.

I love Ryan Seacrest. I didn't watch the Emmy's because a ton of stuff that I don't ever watch was nominated, therefore I didn't care who won.

Beyond that, I'm on the west coast and by the time we got the broadcast it was widely known that they bleeped out/covered up anything even remotely funny or controversial, so it was more boring than the usual awards show.

Criss Angel Is Recorded Threatening To Knock Out His Producer!

Whoa! Criss Angel is NOT messing around here!

The Luxor headlining illusionist was recorded having quite the verbal altercation with Joe Monti, one of his magic producers on Wednesday, during which Angel is heard threatening to knock him out - and now he's had a police report filed against him!

Furthermore, Monti later said to authorities that he recorded the meeting because Angel has a history of bullying employees!

He explains:

“I wanted him to know how demeaning he was. I created 50-60 percent of the magic for ‘Mindfreak.' I have no reason to do anything vindictively but I draw the line on violence.”
