The TV show claims to have reliable sources - including informants inside the FBI - that verify their report.
In this other corner we have TMZ, another reputable media outlet, and they are calling the death threat story bullshit.

"According to LAPD, the department opened an investigation into a threat on Federline's life nearly two months ago, but the case was closed due to insufficient evidence. TMZ also spoke with the L.A. spokesperson for the FBI, who blasted reports claiming that the the FBI ever confirmed anything about a K-Fed investigation saying, 'The information on the Internet on these reports is not accurate. It did not come from the FBI at all.'"

The FBI are neither confirming nor denying "an investigation", they are simply denying that that information came from them. Read it AGAIN.

IF these reports are true in either direction, someone has to be fired. NO POLICE ORGANIZATION is allowed to comment in either direction of a "threat of life" when it is reported. And the FBI definitely did not CONFIRM anything. It is against the law and counter productive to any investigation. ALSO my friends, and please keep this in mind, if he ended up being killed, the liability on the source of either agency denying a credible threat would be outrageous. The Federline family would be set for life. A fact both LAPD and FBI are more than familiar with.
So get over it… this story may be true and it may not be. But no way in shizzle did anyone confirm or deny its accuracy.
