"I've actually become a more violent person since I became a mother, If someone came between me and my kids, they'd be dead meat. So I didn't agree with that particular statement."

LOL - ok, I'm laughing too.

    Re: Linda
Not the same as making people sign up that are not in already- which is what that person implied. And FYI, when people sign up they are aware that they can be kept for longer than they signed up for and nobody makes them agree to that. I know personally because my husband and stepson served.

  3. Trmack says – reply to this

ENLIST DAMMIT, if you're so pro-war ya dumb beeyatch!!!!!!

  4. lljr says – reply to this

Re: katie rude – There is more to being liberal than gun control, you twit, and what does that have to do with the comment made by PH? So, you think that it's okay to invade and occupy a country that never did anything to us? We, the US, are responsible for hundreds of thousands of senseless deaths. Civilian deaths and US deaths. I don't think SF was saying we all need to hold hands and get along. she was saying that it's insane that we are losing our children, fathers, husbands and mothers for NO reason at all. It is against everything American to attack a country based on lies, misinformation, and a *hunch. This administration sold you a war and you bought in. Pull your head out of the sand and start doing some research. Additionally, in regard to gun control, are the thousands of gun-related deaths in the US the result of break-ins? I'll go ahead and let you know….No. Very few are the result of "protection." Gun control isn't even on top of the list for Democrats. There are obviously bigger fish to fry. Also, there is a shortage of people willing to go fight in this illegal and immoral war. Why don't you go sign up?

  6. Dagny Taggart says – reply to this

I think we were tricked into going into Iraq, but for all you "liberals" out there that want us to pull out immediately, how could you sleep at night knowing that we destroyed a country and then left it without an infrastructure, army, etc? Its our fault this happened to them, and therefore its our responsibility to help them out of this mess. And for the record, there is no draft, no one forced your sons to enlist, they were free thinking adults who believe it is the honorable thing to do to fight for a country that gives them so much, a value that seems to have escaped this younger generation. By the way, I should have known not to dicuss politics on this forum after this embarrassment of a comment…get an education then get back to me: "Go home, you Communist Stalinist Nationalist Fascist Nazi dictator lover…"

  7. Matt says – reply to this

My biggest issue isn't what her beliefs are, it's that she used GD on live TV. Let's look at the word GD. It's like it's saying God Damns this war and that all war is bad. However, if you look at the bible and see that David cut off Goliath's head and than later in the bible it says "David, a man after God's own heart". Jesus didn't come to this world to bring peace, he came to divide good from evil. Saddam and his ilk were/are evil.

You are an actrist Sally, I don't care about your political leaning just shut up and act.

  8. sarah davis says – reply to this

I hope her kids are heading over to Iraq real soon! Oh wait, she's like all the other repubs who are just all talk…and let the others go….

  9. Tmack says – reply to this

Re: honesty - finally! – [re=531222]- FACT: 75% of the American people are AGAINST THE WAR. TYPICAL REPUKE STATEMENT:She's saying what we're all thinking. FACT: She's saying what you're thinking. This is the difference between lies and honesty.

  10. Masquarade says – reply to this

Communism is a type of totalitarianism. It has the following characteristics: a massive repression system run by a well established secret police forces, an official and far-reaching system for denunciatory activities, single party rule, censorship, imposition of an official (“the only correct”) state ideology and appearance of newspeak.

  11. aShLeY says – reply to this

Re: katie rude – What does a comment about the WAR have to do with defending your family???? ANYBODY NO MATTER LIBRIAL OR CONSERVATIVE WOULD PROTECT THERE FAMILY if there family were in harm. It just a NATURAL INSTINCTS in people..It's NOT about political parties.

  12. CC says – reply to this

    Re: lljr

You're a liar..post stats regarding your so called truths about gun deaths or shut your mouth!

  13. sarah says – reply to this

If mothers ruled the world, no one would come between her and her precious poopsies - hence no need for violence… bitch is crazy!

  14. hilarious says – reply to this

That is too hilarious!! Your Pres is in office because you voted for him twice.
I would think you would be embarrassed. You didnt notice he wasn't qualified the first time?? But hey stand by your man at all cost. I'll put your George Bush against Bill Clinton any day. He would run circles around that idiot.
I sure miss him!! We wouldn't be in this mess if he were Pres.

  15. republichick says – reply to this

    Re: sarah davis
Really? My stepson just came back after almost 2 years in Iraq. My husband served for 10 years. Hate to clue you in, but there are more republican leaning people in the military than demos, because typically, most liberals like to spout off garbage about this country, but they don't have the balls to join. Oh and I think PH kids are too young to join now, but being brought up by someone who has standards, they just might when they are old enough.

  16. Therese says – reply to this

good god, i hate this woman

  17. josie says – reply to this

Re: Ri – why can't a celebrity talk about politics….the war does affect each and every person in this country and each and every person SHOULD be talking about it. P.S. Sally wasn't bashing our troops or our country, just the dipshit that's in charge of this country.

  18. Coy says – reply to this

    Patricia Heaton is a nutbar.

Hence why she does Albertsons/Sav-On commercials while Sally is in great movies.

  19. I see lame asses says – reply to this

Really, because in between clinton getting his wang sucked, he would have stopped ALL acts of terrorism. OKEY DOKEY.

  20. bush is an idiot says – reply to this

These things make me realize how much I hate feminists & liberals. They're both brain dead idiots who deserve to be shot & hung. People should do everything to protect their kids you mindless fuckheads

  24. Linda says – reply to this

Re: Republichick – The draft forces civilians to serve and the backdoor draft forces our military to serve after their tour is up. I use the word force in the latter case because these men and women are being called upon to risk their lives for a civil war that has no military solution. There is an implied promise by our government that we will do right by those who serve our country. Asking them to do tour after tour is forcing them - regardless of what they signed.

  25. hilarious says – reply to this

Oh that right I forgot..typical Republican got to bring the sex thing into it. I'm talking about intelligence. Clinton would have not taken us to war in the manner that this idiot has. He actually has brains unlike Bush. And your party hasn't had sex scandals?? All in the name of family values!!

  26. Linda says – reply to this

Re: republichick – Glad to hear your stepson is back and he's safe. Please give him a hearty thanks. I'm sure you missed him terribly and are happy he's back safe and sound.

  27. Republichick says – reply to this

    Re: Linda
There is no draft. Your not getting what I said. When you sign up you are TOLD that you may have to serve for longer than you signed on for. Where is the force in that? If a person doesn't want to be held longer, don't sign up. What is so hard to understand about that? Don't sign up if you don't agree. Simple, huh?

  28. Brian says – reply to this

Patricia Heaton is fucking Nazi hag.
    I hope her show tanks.

  29. I see lame asses says – reply to this

  31. jimena says – reply to this

she only demonstrates how neurotic she is, accepting that "the people is bad bad" and reacting like a ferocious animal except of trying to make of this a better world by good will and generosity. sad, sad.

I sure if a woman had been in charge when Nikita Khruschev pounded his shoe in the table, he would have been nuked.

  33. jeanthebean says – reply to this

Patricia Heaton is right. As a mother, I would do anything for my kids to protect them. I understood what Sally Field said but what about those mothers who are preparing their kids and even encouraging them to hate blindly and take the lives of others at any cost, to further their cause? There is no avoiding war until people can truly learn tolerence and acceptance. Until then, it doesn't matter whose in charge.

  34. michael says – reply to this

patricia heaton is a right wing ill-informed (i guess that's redundant) wackjob. i personally hope her new show tanks!!

  35. Cathy says – reply to this

hmmmm Shot and Hung…WOW no wonder we don't support the NRA
    You sound just like Dubya.

  36. Mother Theresa says – reply to this

    Republicans are stupid.

  37. Linda says – reply to this

re=533846]Re: Republichick[/re] I understood your point the first time. But don't happen to agree, that's all. Requesting soldiers go on tour after tour after their time is up (i.e. backdoor draft) is not something they signed up for - regardless of what the contract states. According to the military papers, most who lean to the right (are there any that lean to the left), all agree that we are asking too much of our soldiers by extending their tours (i.e. backdoor draft) the way we have been.

  38. The Phantom says – reply to this

Look who's talking! This bitch is no better, she is known to insult anyone who doesn't agree with her.

  39. I see lame asses says – reply to this

    Re: hilarious
Ya, I guess it is really smart to lie under oath when your the president. But it was only about sex- that didn't count, did it? He gutted our military and missed many chances to catch terrorists. That counts for being intelligent? HA HA.

  41. Masquarade says – reply to this

WASHINGTON - Gen. David Petraeus' report to Congress and President Bush's nationally televised address have had little impact on Americans' distaste for the Iraq war and their desire to withdraw U.S. troops, polls show. Nearly half, or 49 percent, said Bush should remove more troops than he announced he would last week, when he said he would withdraw some forces but leave at least 130,000 in Iraq at least until next summer. Thirty-eight percent said Bush's plan goes far enough. In a separate survey by CBS News, fewer than a third said the roughly 30,000 additional troops Bush sent to the war zone this year have made things better, while the rest said they have had no impact or made things worse. That was similar to the findings of a CBS News-New York Times poll taken days before the remarks by Petraeus and Bush.

Re: Point – Typical republican thinking you can act stupid and we can't see it. Patricia Heaton, Arnold Schwartzenegger, Ronald Regan, Mel Fucking Gibson, Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh….these people are all performers who contribute to the political conversation with their blabber and their service. Sally Field is a citizen. She has every right to say anything she pleases… as a citizen you fucking facist. Take a look at the comments on this site from republican right wing racists, sexists, fear mongers, anti-semites (you don't generally find liberal racists and mysogynists) and the horrible things they say - telling people they will rot in hell - go die etc. Are you blind in one eye? Your republican games are done. Game over. We win. Jury's back. Hate, fear, sexism, racism, homophobia are out of style. Go gel your fucking mullet. We're taking our county back and we're kicking the petulant right-wing selfish children to the curb. You'll have fun. You're friend Patricia will be there. Be careful, though. She might gun you down if you look at her kid.

  43. smj says – reply to this

OMG you people are clueless about how the world works. Heaton is right and Fields should shut up!!!!!!!!

  44. Okay yeah says – reply to this

SARAH DAVIS- Yeah the reason there are more conservatives in the military is because most are Country boys who don't want to work on daddy's farm anymore. So they think the only way to get out of there Small Town is to join the military.

  45. You're an Idiot, Robert says – reply to this

Re: ROBERT – Your little rant describes republicans to a T. You're not fooling anybody. Both of these women have a right to say what they like because they are citizens. No, I don't agree with Patricia Heaton, but she's got the right to let everyone know that she's violent and hasn't the interest or intellect to understand that SF was saying that mothers wouldn't send their children to an unnecessary war, not that a mother would not protect her child. We see though you, Robert. Sorry you can't keep up.

  46. Anti Kool Aid says – reply to this

Re: Republican Bitches for War – War for oil!!!! Go drink some more kool aid. The US has not made any money off of Iraq oil you dumb a$$. Get your facts straight before repeating what you have heard do the research yourself or shut up. Its people like you that make Democrats look stupid!!!!!

  47. I see lame asses says – reply to this

    Re: Eat Me
There's no hate in your reply, huh? Cuz liberals are all about love. With anyone or anything.

  48. hilarious says – reply to this

I hate to burst your bubble but Clinton will go down in history as one ot he best Presidents and Bush will go down as one the worst. Case closed.

  49. Pink says – reply to this

    Bleach your teeth, bitch!!

  50. I see lame asses says – reply to this

Clinton will go down as the president most willing to go down on any woman, and lie under oath about it.

  51. PARIS says – reply to this

Jey, yohoooooooooooo!!!!! Finally a republican in Hollywood!!! I know there are a bunch of them in Lame City but they don't dare say it because liberals are nuts and may kill them….( I'm sure that's the case, we just have to read the hate of some bloggers.)

Oh, and please, PLEASE dear liberals, stop saying "mothers will not send kids to war's" bullshit, Nobody send your kids to war. If your kids enlisted in the military, they will probably have 99% of going to war, not to a tennis match.Duh!

Also nobody it's perfect, for example, republicans are against abortion but support the death sentence, and liberals are pro abortion but don't want war because war kills people. Helloooooo!

We need liberals and we need republicans what we don't need is lack of freedoom…I'm glad those two bitches expressed themself, even if they think opposite to each other. FREEDOM it's more important that politics.

  52. Gay Romano says – reply to this

It's nice to know that your oldest will enter the military in about 4 years. Hopefully we will still be over in Iraq protecting the oil wells. I'm sure your son will be a great asset in the war. Just like you.

  53. It's Over says – reply to this

Re: **** – How dare you twist my words and suggest I don't support the military. Typical Republican tactic to claim something happened that hasn't. I complete support the military with my thoughts, words and actions. I don't think they should be misused and asked to risk their lives for an unjust cause. It is our responsibilty as citizens to use our freedom of speech to cry out to our representatives. I don't like this war. I don't want out military mislead or misused. I want them alive to protect us in real conflicts, not fabricated ones. I have talked to military personell. Plenty of them hate Bush and his policies. They are not children. They understand that they serve regardless of their opinions about policies. They can't decline a deployment. Their being over there is not their statement of solidarity with Bush's policies. It is their commitment to our country via the military. They make a huge leap of faith that our leaders will respect their lives and not use their commitment frivolously. It's our jobs to speak out on their behalf. That is not a lack of support. It is total support. What's wrong with you????? You'd rather they die????? Clearly you do. Why don't you support our troops? Why do you want them to die unnecessarily? Why do you hate the troops? How do you like it? Stop playing that republican game. It's over.

  54. Jon says – reply to this

Well, she doesn't much care for dogs: She has also stated that her three Beagles live outdoors and are not allowed in her house. What a born again christian thing to do…. What a phony.

Re: whatever – Just like Ronald Regan.

  56. You're a little off says – reply to this

Re: dcd – As an "ultra republican" you are incapable of love. Republicans harbor racists. Racism is only possible if you are capable of seeing other human beings as a lesser life form. If you are incapable of recognizing human life, you cannot love. You are, in fact, not fully human as you have surrendered your humanity for the convience of feeling safe, superior or recognized by political party that bullies others and passes legislation to put our soldiers in harms way and wage war that kills innocent citizens in Iraq. So your "love" for PH is actually more of a validation. You feel validated by PH, which almost feels like love.

we got out of that war when students started protesting. This war is
winding down because the polls show most Americans don't support this war.
If there was a draft there would be people marching in the streets!
I support the troops coming home safe and sound.

Get your facts straight. Right wing people bully, lie, wage unnecessary wars, hit on people in bathrooms, deny civil rights, hate women, blacks, jews, muslims, mexicans, immigrants, homosexuals, women who want to determine what happens with their own bodies and educating children. Silly republican shit head. Take your head out of your pile of shit. It really does smell better out here.

Clinton presided over the longest period of peace-time economic expansion in American history, which included a balanced budget and a federal surplus.
Clinton left office with polls revealing that most people questioned his morals and ethics; however, he also retained a 65% approval rating, the highest end-of-presidency rating of any President that came into office after World War II.[

Another republican code word (values) for "us republicans" Republican values are hate, fear, greed, violence, misyogony, homophobia, tax evasion, guns guns guns….. yea, it would be hard to stick to those values in an environment where hate is not the major currency.

Why don't you get famous and then when you accept your award you can tell all the women to quit work and take away their right to vote, reintroduce segregation, irradicate child labor laws, and all the other things that liberals have fought for that you and your family enjoy.

Re: ProudAmerican – How can you call yourself a proud american and ignore the constitution? The reason your child can't play virgin mary at school is because in this country there is a separation between church and state. As you become the minority (and gosh I hope you enjoy it as much as I have) you will be glad that jewish people can't force their dradle down your throat (even though it would probably help you) as you have forced your homophobic christianity down the throats of children who are just trying to get an education, rather than forced to play church time with your christian kid everyday. I was raised Catholic, by the way, so don't even try to hate me as much as you thought you would.

Yes, yes indeed, Dems (some) also voted to go to war. The vote went that way BECAUSE WE WERE LIED TO. There WERE NO WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION. 9/11 was STARTED BY AL QUAIDA AND BIN LADEN, NOT IRAQ AND SADDAM.
This war came to pass not because of oil, but because of Bush Jr.'s vow to Daddy to finish what Daddy could not in the Gulf War.

Re: CC – There is a myriad of information out there about gun deaths (you may start with something as benign as Wikipedia). You can't just call someone a liar without an explanation. So, please, enlighten me on how I am incorrect. I was responding to someone else's comment about how pro-gun-control people (she was saying liberals) are stupid for wanting gun control simply because of people breaking into houses and them not being able to protect themselves. What I was saying is that the #1 cause of gun-related deaths in the US is not because of people breaking in to others' homes and the attacker being shot out of protection. Guns in homes generally reveal a different statistic than protecting against intruders. Namely, suicide and accidental deaths. The number of intruders being shot out of self-defense is smalllll compared to other homicides, accidents and suicides. Again, gun-control isn't at the top of my list. I was responding to a comment that was seemingly out of the blue and simply an attack on Liberal ideals with unfounded documentation. I believe if you want a gun in your home for protection, good for you. However, those guns kill a lot of people annually and not due to self-protection. Again, look it up. If you find something negating my claims, please share with me. I am being sincere.

You may WANT to hate actors, which might lead you to LIE about them, but you're wrong. She has a 1st amendment right (you might find that in the constitution if you can read) to say what she likes, even if you hate it. You have that right to, which you used on this web site, and even though I can't figure out why anyone would want to hear your opinion, and I wonder what gives you the right to try to spread lies about actors, you have the legal right to do so. So keep your lies up until we actors find out who you are and haul your ignorant ass into court and sue you for slander little girl.

Cindy, you are the epitome of ignorance. Sorry to disappoint you but Pres
Clinton and Hillary are well respected and admired. Please make logical

Re: VoiceofReason – that the republican party protects those who hate other races and religions, immigrants etc? Why would you suggest that liberals hate, when we are all about inclusion backed with legislation. Equal rights for all! Freedom from religion! Educate not incarcerate! Republicans = Hate. Hate for others, hate for self, hate of the unfamiliar. It's obvious to anyone who is outside the cyclone of hate.

Re: PROUD CANADIAN – How the fuck do you know what Sally Field's statement meant? It's funny that you're on a site created by an American, Discussing a statement made by an American actress, recorded on an American program, and you're trying to make Americans seem inferior.

P.S. I like Sally Field and don't see what the big deal is. It was one sentence. It's not as though she went on a 10 minute tirade.

  99. Vanessa says – reply to this

I am 100% for Sally Field.. people are so unevolved to ever think that war serves any purpose.. especially this one!! People need to get their facts straight.. one inocent child being killed is enough to know that war is not the answer not to quote Marvin Gaye.. I am boycotting Pat Heaton from here on out.. GO SALLY.. YOU ROCK!!!!!
