In response to this report today that Rosie turned down the opportunity to be on Oprah Winfrey's talk show to promote her upcoming autobiography, Celebrity Detox, O'Donnell has taken to her website and written the following:

Jeez. People here are unbelievably harsh. I like this blog, I think Perez is funny, but I think the people commenting here are trying too hard to be like Perez, but what they lack is the wit. I find it amusing how many posts are railing on Rosie's writing style, but they themselves are using no punctuation, and saying things like "rosie is a fat fuck bitch." Oh yeah, you're really intellegent, and have EVERY right to comment on other people's writing styles. Rosie is a loud woman, no question. But the way she is treated here and in the media is appauling, and anyone who values free speech and open forums should applaud her candor, not condemn it.
Get help Rosie. You have serious mental problems always communicating in damn poor poetry. Get a psych for your childhood problems and quit letting your anger out on others. Peace to you, I hope.

It is indeed interesting to read all this. There are so many different levels of opinion. My opinion is this: I agree with the majority. Why write and then publish a book, that so blatantly exposes issues about your former co-workers, and places them in a predicament of dark light…and then refuse to talk about said book? Why blog about how painful it all was for you, and how it came through your computer, recorder, yadda, yadda, yadda, and then hide behind that supposed pain? Do you really believe that the small percent of supporters are going to be enough to keep you afloat? I know why…the book is all fiction. It is an imaginary piece of work concocted in that very much warped mind of yours, simply put out there to draw attention, (to the person who claims she despises media attention the most). Your face reveals everything about you. You are a mean, disenchanted, frustrated, and lonely individual. Get help. Your children will thank you for it in the future.

Ya know..i want to believe that Rosie really wrote this..but i am thinking..no she didnt..the PR people did.. I have no bad thoughts , feelings .. i think people are being a little to hard on someone who stands up and says what she feels… lets face it , what has Rosie really done to cause the uproar. This is HOLLYWOOD though so there has to be drama. We live in a world where religion says .. treat others like you want to be treated, respect other souls, dont kill.. yet these different religions cause war , death , dispair . what does the higher power think..there is one god.. but different cultures.. Dont throw a stone unless that stone cant be thrown at you . lets start realizing that it is us as people who can change how our world is.. for the future and present. lets start where it should be by teaching our children the error of our ways and the past . LOL , i have gone way off topic , but with the median ..they have the means with the influence of TV . always showing conflict wont help , but feed the means of our own influence . Lets realize that with understanding culture , evolution , we understand our selves as people . for every action there is a reason .

Is it too hard and time consuming to actually write the word "to" or "for" that she has to use numbers? Personally, if I knew people were going to read what I was writing, I'd like it to be written out properly, to the best of my ability. Besides that I had no idea she had a book coming out. Whatever it is about, good luck to her.

Rose: I'm not sure but I feel you are hurting ALOT. You put on a good face for the world but underneath you could break down at any point in time. Don't go on any TV interview show. If you do, I don't think you will be able to bear it and perhaps have a mini break down for all the world to see. Don't do it. Celebrity or not…her pain is real. The blog is hers, she can do whatever she wants with it. She is not force feeding people to read anything about her. If you don't like her, stay away. Don't click on comments about her, don't waste your time commenting on her, and turn the tv if you don't want to see "news" stories about her. You have the choice to walk away. Rosie doesn't pretend to be something she is not. She is real, and is honest about her perceptions of the world around her. That does not mean you have to agree with her.

she is smart - she knows that by refusing to do an oprah interview it will probably get her more attention than by doing the interview. by witholding talking about it - people totally want to know more about it. its just a marketing ploy. i hate rosie - but tis smart.

I refuse to read OJ's book that is now that heartless man's (Fred Goldman's),
as far as I am concerned, it is blood money no matter who has it and they say he will make only 17 cents per copy and for each book but I don't care!
I refuse to give him 17 cents. I would rather make a donation of $17.00 to
some charity or may even $170.00. I don't care how he explains his reasons
for publishing that book. Fred Golman was on TV saying that. 'this book should be burried' and nobody should read it but as soon as he got the rights to the book his tune changed.
