Dan Rather is suing CBS and Viacom….for $70 million!!!!

The lawsuit, filed Wednesday afternoon in State Supreme Court in Manhattan alleges fraud against CBS. Rather also claims that the network also didn't live up to their certain contractual agreements they had made with him and that he was made to be a "scapegoat" in his acrimonious departure from the nightly news.

Redstone is too old to be running a "cool" media company! He sues Youtube! He sues his family! fires Tom Cruise (responsible for Paramounts only current movie franchise)! fires Tom Freston (the coolest, most innovative and most loved entertainment executive in the business) and puts in Philip Dauman a boring lawyer (no wonder youtube got sued)! Also stephen Spielberg and David Geffen are leaving the company as well. EVERYONE is running for the hills!

I grew up with Dan Rather, and he was the best evening news anchor, he went all over the world for CBS and they hung him out to dry….good for him, he still had a very distinguished and long career and was number 1 in the ratings for many years!

First he publicly scolds Tom Cruise for being crazy in love, then claims he fired him, then he actually does fire Tom Freston, probably the best thing that has happened to Viacom, then he gets in public fights with his family for control of the media empire, he fires a few more people just for the hell of it and admits he makes decisions based on some whim of his drugged up wife. Would someone at Viacom please grab the wheel already, he’s driving the company over a cliff and all you people are doing is watching the train wreck while stocks continue to downward-spiral.

Good show, Dan. Not only are you going to lose big time…but all you will accomplish is to remind everyone how unethical you and your entire team was and always has been. Dan Rather is just trying to blame someone else for his deceitful, immoral, and unethical behavior. Dan Rather tried to use his platform as a "journalist" to destroy an American President. And regardless of your personal politics, whether you love or hate President Bush, you should be both angered and frightened by that. It's easy to brush it under the rug, or even celebrate his behavior when his victim is the candidate you dislike. But just remember that the next time, it will be YOUR candidate who is the victim of such viscious, purposeful lies. This is NOT a partisan issue. It's an AMERICAN issue and you should demand 100% truth from the media and ZERO PURPOSEFUL truth tampering. It's one thing for a network news anchor to express his personal opinion. I support freedom of speech. But when news anchors work to PURPOSELY doctor the facts in order to further their agenda, then you should have a HUGE problem with that, regardless of which partisan line they benefit. Some of you really need to learn to see the forest for the trees and stop offering knee-jerk, self-serving responses to the things that are going on in our country. Elementary school is over. Research the facts for yourselves from UNBIASED sources and learn what it really means to be a "concerned citizen", or a "patriot". Our country's freedom and well-being depends upon all of you growing up and learning how to be responsible, educated, informed citizens.

Yesterday, The X Factor season two auditions kicked off in Austin, TX with its new judging panel of Britney Spears, Demi Lovato, LA Reid and Simon Cowell!

Everything seemed to be off to a great start...that is, until Mz. Brit Brit was nowhere to be found!!!
