The results are in!!!

Not only did Kanye West sell more albums than 50 Cent this week. He sold so many more albums that he left Fiddy's ass still bleeding!

West's Graduation sold 957,000 copies this past week. 50's Curtis trailed with 691,000.

This is a new record for Kanye and a disappointment for Fiddy.

West surpasses his previous bets - the 860,000 bow of Late Registration, which spent two weeks at No. 1 in 2005.

50 Cent's previous release, The Massacre, opened to 1.1 million units in March 2005 and spent six weeks at No. 1.

So….

Is Fiddy going to retire now like he promised he'd do if he lost the sales race?

although i do love the louis vuitton don, i was disappointed in graduation. two of the songs were released lyric-for-lyric on mixtapes like three years ago. (homecoming feat. chris martin of coldplay being one of them) AND if you subtract the intro / outro… that's 8 new songs. two years, and 8 songs is all you could come up with? Well if you listen to both albums, 50 cent's album is more of the same, and Kanye's album is actually a very creative rap album. I love the song "Stronger" but it is will soon be played out (thanks to the radio stations), but IMO Kanye still remains the champ. 50 cent is an amazing, multi-talented individual who's proven he knows how to have fun, like in that commercial where he conducts a classical orchestra. He's also incredibly sexy and HOT.

I bought neither, but listened to a bit of each. Being non-partisan, this is my observation:

KANYE (aka "music recycler")–Rip-off, rip-off, rip-off. I thought maybe stealing from Ray Charles (Gold Digger) was an isolated incident, but Daft Punk and a host of others are also fair game. Be original Kanye and don't rely on someone else's music to sell your whiny words. People who liked this better either don't know the ORIGINAL music/artists or obviously don't care.

50 Cent–Seemed okay, but will not buy. At least he's more musical.

OK, first of all, I want to express my OUTRAGE and DISGUST at the racism of some of the commentators on here. You really are ignorant trash and a disgrace to humanity.
As for Kanye, I think justice has been done. It's comforting to know that a majority of people reject the violent, misogynistic and just downright depressingly cynical content of 50 Cent's records, and have actually supported an artist who, although he also has his faults, is musically much more interesting and a more positive role-model for our society. Kanye won against 50 Cent here in the United Kingdom too. Maybe record companies will finally get the message that we're sick of having our minds polluted with trash, but will actually buy more challenging music. Peace and love to all.

First: Racism is going to occur everywhere. Here, your hometown, your backyard. YOU have the power to do something about it by getting out there and voting AND joining the fight against racism. Calling people names doesn't "fix" the problem–it only exacerbates it. Learning, teaching and doing are the only things that will remedy the problem.

That said, Kanye West really redeemed himself at the Emmys. He was able to make fun of himself which is something many people simply cannot do.

Yesterday, The X Factor season two auditions kicked off in Austin, TX with its new judging panel of Britney Spears, Demi Lovato, LA Reid and Simon Cowell!

Everything seemed to be off to a great start...that is, until Mz. Brit Brit was nowhere to be found!!!

Midway through the show, after a hopeful got up and “butchered” Brit’s Hold It Against Me, she supposedly got up and walked out!
