      I think its the worst idea for a show in the history of television…and could probably be considered almost borderline illegal in regards to child labor laws. Just proves parents will do anything to try and make their kids famous.

      This has to be the best show on TV in a while. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. These kids are great, and the producers are genius! Season 2 should have infants.

      I have to say I watched it, and i thought it was interesting. It is like a giant science experiment. I will have to see afew more episodes to decide if it is lame or not, but so far I think it's cool.

      That reviewer should get off of his soapbox. I watched the show with my 11 and 7-year old sons. I wanted to see what all the hype was about, while my kids had no interest at all. But once the show got going, my sons were hooked, and so was I. It was very inspiring and empowering, as well as entertaining. We plan to watch it together and discuss the choices, behaviors and values we see on display to see what lessons can be learned.

      I thought that the show was great. The psychology behind it is what draws people in. These kids are amazing. I dont remember being as well spoken and smart when I was their age. I would have cried all the way home on the first day at their age. Good stuff.

      I think is great. It teaches these kids to do something for themselves instead of letting mommy and daddy wipe their asses for the rest of their lives. They will appreciate this when they get older.

      As far as child labor laws…. quit being so freaking politically correct and take a damn chance. Nothing ever changed or made a damn difference by "following the rules."

      I agree…I watched it with my kids and we had a great discussion about hard work and choices. Loved that after one day the kids picked more latrines over a TV…my kids said they would have done the same. Great lessons.

      People are dumb. The show was great. I watched it with my kids and we thought it was good. Kids always think they can do everything on their own anyway, the show gives them an opportunity to see what that would be like. I would send my kids - especially my 14 year old daughter!! LOL!

      it was a great show… i've been waiting to watch it for months now.
      it was really nice watching it with the kids my 17 & 15 year old… they loved it.

      First off if any of you had actually watched you would have realized all of you dramatic statements about "child labor" are way off base. These kids are learning valuable life lessons such as cooking, cleaning, and how life in the real world works without video games and tv's on 24/7. They are not slaving away and working to say feed adults, or run someones farm, etc. each kid pulls their own weight within their TEAM in order to run their "town". I think it is a great show for kids, it shows them they really can do anything they put their minds to. There should be more programs like this out there to set examples for the little guys. Plus, all of you who say this is the parents exploiting their kids…news flash the kids get to go home any time THEY want. The parents have no say whether their child comes home or not, therefore, they can't exploit them, or make them stay against their will, or keep them on in hopes that they get famous because if the kid wants to leave the kid leaves, simple as that. Hope this gives you all a little bit of insight on what the show really is about.

      I don't see how this show was getting so much press anyway. Who cares about a bunch of kids being kids? Its a stupid idea for a show, and it seems that once you've seen the first ep you've seen the whole series. Plus they were NOT there alone… I doubt the camera crew is between the ages of 8and 10. So there was no real chance of danger. Now.. had they left themo n a deserted island and gave them a bunch of cameras.. would be awesome

      Of course the critics hate it. There's no nudity, girl on girl action, love triangles or other various polygons, backstabbing , or gratutious sex. Just some cute kids learning to believe in themselves, learning teamwork, hard work, and critical thinking skills. Of course Americans find it boring.

      I liked it too. I about lost it when the one dorky leader of the 4 (Michael I think) wouldn't help push the wagon but just pointed for the other kids the direction they were supposed to go in, as if it wasn't obvious. All the kids were wiped out when they arrived at the town but him! He is all ready to hold a "town hall" and shit! I see a future in middle management for that little fucker!

      I thought it wasnt' bad. These kids give insight into how they're being raised. Let's just say, most of the parents could be doing a better job. It's nowhere near child abuse. There are PLENTY of adults around them at all times. They can leave if they want to. They are given a certain amount of guidance, which they can, if they choose, ignore. At least it's a new reality show and not the same old shit these networks have been churning out! I'll keep watching.
