Clooney Injured In Motorcycle Crash!

George Clooney and his non-celeb girlfriend, Sarah Larson, were involved in a motorcycle accident on Friday.
The pair were hit by a car in New Jersey on Friday afternoon and rushed to Palisades Medical Center in Palisades, N.J., his publicist said.
Clooney suffered a hairline fracture of a rib and road rash, and Larson suffered a broken foot.
The pair were treated at the hospital and later released.
Thankfully it wasn't anything more serious!

I wish motorcyclists would drive as if they understand that other motorists have a hard time seeing them. What really irks me here in California are the guys that use the law stating that they are allowed to move ahead in traffic on their bike WHEN THE TRAFFIC IS AT A STANDSTILL. What they do in reality is to move through the traffic that is flowing at sixty five plus and come upon unsuspecting drivers that don't she them weaving in and out and in and out, often passing by their side mirrors and clearing it by inches as they squeeze down the middle line. Quite frankly, I'm surprised more motorcyclists are not road rash. They don't understand the excelerated heart beats, the OMG reactions and the near misses they leave behind in their "me first" wake. We usually don't see you in time when you pull that shit, so stop endangering yourselves, but more to the point, stop endangering the other people on the road with you!

First and foremost Peresito, it was North Bergen, NJ. And as previously mentioned, he's lucky enough to end up in the crappiest hospital in the area. And for the record the accident happened in Weehawken, NJ on on a road called Boulevard East which has spectacular views of NYC. He unfortunately was trying to pass a driver from the right which didn't work out in his favor. And for the record, Clooney is in the area because he is currently filming "Burn After Reading" in NYC (15 minutes away).

Palisades Medical Center is in North Bergen NJ, not Palisades. There is no Palisades NJ, there is a Palisades Park but thats about 20 minutes away. Your research assistant should get your facts right
Accident happened on Blvd. East in Weehawken, NJ. My boyfriend drove by and saw the motorcycle and another car on the side of the street with police cars and an ambulance. Palisades Medical is a five min. Drive from there. Crappy hospital to go to in my opinion.
I live in Weehawken. Recently I got violently sick. I wound up at Palisades in North Bergen. Shittiest hospital in the world! It took close to 6 hours to be seen even though I was in obvious pain. When I was seen, I was sitting among drunken/high criminals –thankfully wearing handcuffs — who were brought in by police. Bathroom sink in emergency waiting room was smeared with blood. When I was discharged I was given discharge paperwork with confidetial info for Maria Lopez– but that's not my name!!!
Very shitty hospital. Clooney & his gf should be kissing their lucky stars they weren't injured more seriously– after being admitted to this hellhole!

Sad for George but motorcyclist bear the onus for making sure that drivers can see them, they are more often then not riding in their blind spot. People driving vehicles do not repeatedly look in their rear view mirrors, generally speaking, so cyclists must always take that into consideration, for their own safety.
