The artist formerly and currently known as Sporty Spice has become an indie musician, and it's a beautiful thing to see. Girlfriend has earned her cred and she deserves tons of props.
We've been a big fan of Mel's current solo album, which she released herself. And it's good. Damn good!

This Time is a beautiful pop song, but in many ways it's an anti-pop song. The Spice Girls would have never released anything as earnest as this.

a great video, so simple but so emotional, with great moments of truth and introspection.
overly simplistic (not always a bad thing, but in this case…) predictable melody line, puzzling message in verse, small range and no discernable power, and cheesey video…gee, mario…you should become a music video critic…oh, i forgot…you already think you are!
