The bitter custody battle between Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards is reaching a boil.
The actor's fiance, Brooke Mueller, is fighting back against the outlandish allegations that the unemployed Denise is making.
Richards claims that her daughters with Sheen, Sam, 3, and Lola, 2, didn't learn of their father's engagement to Mueller until it was announced on a TV show. "That is one hundred percent untrue," Brooke says. "Denise begged us on a few difference occasions not to tell the girls we were engaged."
Nutjob Denise also alleges that Charlie and Brooke told her they purposely got engaged for "the press … he wanted to get the cover of People and Us magazine."
Mueller says the claim is so absurd she "won't dignify it with a response."
Also, in her complaint, Denise made public e-mails from Brooke where she allegedly apologizes for Sheen's past tirades against his wife. Mueller believes Richards edited a version of her e-mails to bolster her custody battle with Sheen.
"It's a shame that Denise conveniently edited my e-mail correspondence to serve her own interests," Mueller says. "She would be both mortified and embarrassed if I released any one of her 40 e-mails to me. But she knows my character and humanity and knows that I would ever do such a thing."

"Denise's claims are laughable at best," admonishes Brooke. "This is a battle we will fight in court, not in the press."

I think at the end of the day, Denise is probably jealous that Charlie has moved on with someone who makes him happy and she is alone again. It sucks, but sometimes it happens. If you break up, one of you is going to be first to find new love. She shouldn't waste time using the kids as a ploy in her anger.

Denise obviously feels she's protecting her children, based on the info. provided to her by her nanny. She also lived with him, and knows how he gets, and so can make some correct intellectual judgements as to what she thinks might be true in what the nanny relays to her. Sheen has a history of abuse, from his ex Donna, to repetetive drug and alcohol rehab. Denise does not. He looked to be on something on-camera at the Emmys, which tells me she might be right to worry about the kids right now. The kids welfare is the priority, and not their divorce battle, and that's how the court looks at it. I'm with team sober here.
