Those people posting that he's just for "illiterate immigrants" need to take the time to listen to his music (and possibly adjust their worldviews…) before judging; it's amazing. I'm a white chick from Wisconsin (who speaks Spanish) and I can definitely appreciate his work. Admittedly, it'll never catch on in the US because of the whole "but it's not in English!" issue, but props to Perez for trying to raise awareness. Not that Juanes needs the publicity…

For the record, Juanes doesn't need the publicity….he is the top selling latin artist pretty much since he came on the scene, he has won a bunch of grammys and he was even named one of Time magazines 100 most influencial people in the world! At this point, he could sing he alphabet and he would still sell millions, but it just so happens that his music IS good, his lyrics are brilliant and relevant to the struggles of the colombian people while showing their unwavering optimism so some people here really need to stop talking out of their asses.
He has the best live show. Hands down his concert was the best show I have ever been to in Vegas.
