Prince played his last (of many) London show's on Friday night and he brought along a very special guest for his post-concert gig (that's how he rolls) at the O2 Arena's Indigo venue.

Amy Winehouse opened the aftershow with Love is A Losing Game while Prince played guitar.

His Purple Majesty told the crowd to look after Wino as "you've got something special."

      fantastic, show must have been awsome.
      I wish things were about music again, and not about what somebody is wearing ,how their teeth are or what drugs they are on… Elvis, The Doors, Rolling Stones (Or were these all clean non drug addicts/alcoholics?).

      But i guess that is just a sign of our time…shallow, exterior, detached and egocentric…

      Amy's music is fantastic and i for one hope she can overcome her demons

      I was there. Amy was incredible. You wouldn't believe it, but Amy is actually quite shy and introverted. I said hello to her, asked her how she was, and joked that I hope that she would still be around to produce a third CD. She actually blushed and assured me that she would! Amy is a delight, unlike KT Tunstall, she has a sense of humour. Prince loves her and the people of Britain love her. Amy is a rare talent. At heart, she is a sweet girl. I have every confidence that Amy will conquer her demons. I thought Perez was Amy's friend: why is he so negative? In Britain we like to help our fallen stars up, we don't gloat in the misfortunes of others. PS. Amy is quite pretty and a naughty girl!

      I'm so happy this took place. Prince has been covering that song a lot lately and had expressed a wish to perform with her while he was in London. After all her troubles, I didn't think it would happen. Good on both of them for getting together!

      Now all we need is for Prince to release a DVD set of the best main shows and the aftershows that he performed at. PRETTY PURPLE PLEASE, PRINCE?!?!

      I missed the after-show but the Artist formerly known as… was FUCKING AMAZING!!! His Purple Majesty blew me away and I hope I still have an ounch of his stamina when I am his age. It was like he was channeling James Brown from the after-life. The Wino is talented but NOWHERE near as mind blowing as His Royal Highness. ps Save Amy!

      I just LOVE Amy's music. It does my heart good that she is out performing and doing better.
      I am hoping for another CD from her soon!
      Her songs are really written from the heart, and her music is wonderful.
      I didn't know much about her until very recently and went on youtube to see what she was all about…and I was just blown away!

      I first saw Prince live at the Purple Rain concert in the mid-eighties. It is still THE BEST concert I have ever been to!! He is truly a genius and puts on an incredible show.. And him with Amy?! I can't even imagine how great that must have been.

      i was there front row, amy was right in front of me and prince a little to the right. they started playing the tune (which he has played a few times before) whilst the curtain was down, and i said to my friend "imagine if amy winehouse came out", and the curtain opened and amy was standing in front of me! prince tore it up on guitar and she just stood still, doe eyes looking at prince, amazed she was standing onstage with prince playing her song. she missed the cue to sing the final part as i think she was waiting on prince to stop playing guitar (when his singer shelby performs with prince she starts the final part as prince keeps tearing it up on guitar). after she sang she went back to the kings row balcony upstairs and was sitting on hubbys knee canodling. prince said we should take care of her cuz britain had something special in her. everyone went wild, so he went to get his shades to cover his teary eyes. the aftershow was 2hrs 40 mins in total. beverley knight also sang rocksteady by aretha franklin. a great nite indeed!

      Prince…a has been? Mutha fucka give me a break! That man has more talent than any artist out there right now. Even if you don't like his music you gotta give him props for his guitar playing. It must have been something really special seeing him perform with Winehouse. I'm sorry I missed it.

      Me again… I was just at a party chatting with a music producer and a tv guy (EVERYONE is talking about Prince!) who told me that the last night of His Purple Majesty's 21 London concerts was filmed and will be shown on telly here in Old Blighty. Peeps in the USA better start lobbying for footage to be available stateside. It f-u-c-k-i-n-g ROCKED!!!

      Re: Mel M – You got to meet him?? A couple years ago at a concert I was asked while standing in line for a drink to come to the stage and dance with him with these other girls. I did not meet him. I danced in my spot on stage next to him for an hour but no words. I can't believe you were able to talk with him !! Awesome.
