24 star Kiefer Sutherland was arrested early Tuesday morning for drunk driving.
The actor was in a celebratory mood, attending the Fox fall premiere party Monday night at LA club Area. A few hours later, he allegedly blew more than twice the legal limit when cops pulled him over on suspicion of DUI at 1:35 A.M.
Sutherland was held at the Hollywood police station for a few hours and released at 5:42 A.M. this morning on $25,000 bail.
He is scheduled to face a judge on October 16.

I met Kiefer at a bar a few years ago. He really needs to stop drinking. He's partying too hard for someone his age. He can certainly afford a driver.
Seriously…why can't these people hire drivers? At least I have the excuse that I'm too poor/cheap to grab a cab.
The cab ride probably would have cost him 40 dollars compared to the 25 thousand dollar cost of bail.

Oh, and IS THIS EVEN NEWS ANYMORE, no, it can't "just happen to you." You have to go out and drink a lot, then get in a car and drive. All of those are choices. A meteor just happens to you, not a DUI. That is a moronic thing to say. If you really think you have no control over whether you drink and drive, then you have a serious drinking problem, you have no sense of adult responsibility, and either way you need help - GET IT!

This really isn't fucking funny anymore. My neighbor was killed last xmas by a reveller leaving his xmas party…leaving 2 kids behind…lost his license for life. What are we gonna do about this? Why don't they have some kind of care cab service for these celebs….better yet don't these people make enough to hire drivers?

You know, they make "twice the limit" insinuate that it's crazy-wacky-out-of-control, but that just means you had 2 drinks instead of 1 within an hour. I don't live in the US, but I know when I visit - the amount of police pulling people over for driving 5 miles over the speed limit is ridiculous.
Limosine services should really advertise more in L.A. Apparently Los Angeles area residents don't know they exist.
