The legendary actress, too frail to walk, was escorted around in a wheelchair.

OK, she has seen better days. But, considering longevity is rampant in her genes (her mother & grandmother lived well into their 90s), there may well be a whole lot more to come. What a life, though. For two decades she experienced the kind of superlative fame that, even our most dazzling of contemporary stars, can achieve for the sum total of 3yrs-max. Her beauty was world-celebrated. Due, largely, to a notable departure from the homogenised, Northern-European aethetic, that had previously been the pre-requisite for MGM starlets. Many studio execs were concerned that her intense colouring may read too 'ethnic', for a middle-American market. It was, of course, what secured her position as, global goddess. Elizabeth Taylor is the last of the great movie stars. Her passing will, truly be, the end of an era.

HOW OLD ARE YOU? This lady was one of the most famous actresses in her time. Riches than many of her husbands. She was the first actress to command a million bucks for a movie (Cleopatra), which opened the door for other actresses. Taylor was a great actress, winning an Academy Award and turning in several classic performances. She was never known as being "stuck up." In fact, she was known for the opposite. She was a bawdy dame who could get down and drink with the rest of them. AGAIN…the ignorance on these boards is frightful.

It was Elizabeth he confided the truth in, it was Elizabeth he entrusted to tell, ONLY after he passed, that it was AIDS. I'm sorry you weren't alive then, or old enough to remember now, but the fear and ignorance about AIDS and taboo about being gay made him too afraid to confirm the rumors. It was a VERY BIG DEAL that he did a spot on "Dallas" and kissed a woman. AIDS patients were "untouchables." Elizabeth Taylor NEVER shied away from contact, and was one of the first and loudest voices to say it was not transmissable through saliva, OR casual contact. She stood by her friend, and has raised money for AIDS every single year since. She is the furthest thing from mean or evil. You just have no clue what the fuck you are talking about.

She looooves her eggplant! For a second I thought Jesus was playing a joke on me. Then I realized it was really Fred Flinstone's mother-in- law aka blue haired X-Hussy.
