I agree that Iran's President is sick and his policies and beliefs are despicable but I think you need to reassess your approach and think about a few things before you jump on the "Hate Train". First, maybe we should scold Columbia for inviting him. Why invite someone who represents such hate and is barely even on diplomatic terms with the US. What does it achieve???

Secondly, WTF is with Lee Bollinger? Hero? No. Asshole? Yes! What gives him the right to behave so undiplomatically with the President of another country. Sure, Ahmadinejad is despicable but bullying him and insulting him infront of an audience is tasteless and shows Bollinger's ability to sink even lower than Iran's most despised leader. Are you not the President of a University?

I am embarrassed by what happened at Columbia. Not only will it fuel jihadist sentiment but it also does NOTHING to bridge diplomatic negotiation to END weapons development, human rights violations, and everything else that threatens our beliefs and security.

I am a proud Canadian who also LOVES AMERICA - just not this part of it. CAnadians have recently lost loads of troops in Afghanistan and are currently at the forefront of establsihing security in the Arab world. Smarten up Bollinger and those who support such NEGATIVE, DESTRUCTIVE and alienting BS.

The photos here speak for themselves; hanging teenagers is utterly barbaric and excusing or justifying this depravity by asserting that we in the west are ignorant as to the vagaries of middle eastern culture and/or obsessed with pop-culture is wearing very thin. What's truly tragic here is that these two unfortunate young boys died horrific deaths, with the whole world observing and yet we were all powerless to intervene on their behalf: A very, very sad day for humanity indeed.

I have been many times in Teheran for business. Most people are very nice and very open. This people talking about so negativly have no idea and no education at all. Never traveled somewhere and probably have no money at eather. Where do they live?
