Unless she stops drinking completely, she's gonna die young. My husband has stage 5 hepatitis C (cirrhosis of the liver). He hasn't touched a drop since diagnosis ten years ago. His lifestyle is very healthy (good food and family life). He got his from a blood transfusion after an accident. You need quite a bit of innoculum to get his virus, so it is more likely she got it from a transfusion, sex multiple times with an infected partner, or iv drug use. It is possible she got it at a tattoo parlour; it can happen. The truth of the disease is this: my husband, even with his healthy lifestyle, is going to die from it unless he has a successful liver transplant, and even then, the virus could attack the new liver. Perhaps Ms. Anderson's coping strategy is substance use, but it's the worst thing she could do.

DMacFly, I am sorry to hear about your husband. I wish him the best. My mom passed away two years ago of liver cancer at the young age of 48. And she had none of the risk factors for it, i.e. hepatitis. I can't imagine not taking care of myself after a liver problem diagnosis. It's too serious not to. You can't live without it. I hope Pam wises up and gets her act together. She has little boys to raise.

I would have to agree that there seems to be a double standard. Pam is more likeable than Brit, and doesn't seem to have the mental problems of Britney though. Her kids aren't babies like Brits, which is actually worse because they are aware of things like drugs and old enough to look at pictures and see the magazine covers and internet stories.
