Ryan Seacrest is producing a new scripted sitcom for E! starring David Hasselhoff.

Tales From the Hoff hopes to be a Curb Your Enthusiasm rip-off.

The show will follow the fictional "dark and twisted trials and tribulations of an international icon as he navigates Hollywood and the world of dating after divorce." It will also explore "the fictional icon's attempts to reinvigorate a career steeped in the past."

So, basically he's playing himself!

We better see a humburger eating incident and lots of AA meetings!

Actually, we don't care. Not like we're really planning to watch it.

(1) He's not funny, (2) he's not talented, and (3) he's a slobbering drunk all the time. No thanks!! And I could forgive him for the drinking if he at least could master the first two things!! Ugh, most of the time I just wish people would stop talking about him all together, and that he would just go away and be annoying somewhere else.

      as much as ryan seacrest makes me want to cry tears of boredom and embarrassment (for him), i think this isn't a bad idea. it could be good in a campy way. i love the comment, "don't hassle the hoff"… i mean, let's put aside allegations of domestic abuse (right?) and the like, and remember hasselhoff for the ambassador that he is— i mean, c'mon, he was the genius behind baywatch afterall… a foolish show with a foolish premise that was, regardless, foolishly entertaining.
