That was a very nice thing to do. Her publicist isn't neccessarily the one who told the post. It was probably the Saks people. Renee was just being a nice person. It wasn't anything truly amazing, but it was thoughtful.

Prosperous people picking up the tab here and there is maybe the best of the Texas traditions, and I really like knowing that Ms. Z has the MANNERS to do this. It's less of a publicity stunt than a custom which "we" actually NICE (if weird and with our own issues, no doubt) Texas-raised lady-aiming women view as a kind of metaphysical math which in the end helps us out in the final accounting, however and whatever that is exactly. NOBODY I have met who grew up in the Woodstock, NY area does this sort of thing, in fact, they seem to get a real kick out of kicking people when they are down and stealing from the impoverished while yammering how it's all about the federal government. Sure Ms. Z is getting a lot of great exposure from this gesture but I would put money on it being basically a secret habit.

Re: katytx – I'm with you on this. There was a rumor in 2003 that she was going to make an appearance at one of the playoff games (football). Since she used to be a cheerleader, we're all looking down on the field like dumb fucks watching for her…she never came. Never forget where you come from IMO….I'm not impressed with her since she doesn't ever appreciate her roots and certainly never makes any appearances around town that I'm aware of. I think what RZ did was very nice. I live in Denton, Tx and RZ's brother and wife live in a town about 5 miles away. She comes here often to visit them and even goes to the nail salon that I use and the cruddy little mall that we have. Whitney Houston Last Performance! Sang Yes, Jesus Loved Me The Night Before Her Death!

We have truly lost one of the greats today.

Whitney Houston has passed away at the age of 48, and although the cause of her death is currently unknown, she made an appearance last night at the Kelly Price & Friends Unplugged: For The Love of R&B Grammy Party at True Hollywood, and even took the stage to sing what sadly, ended up being her last public performance.
