Tony Bennett's Cocaine Shame
Filed under: Drugs > Old People
He may come across as Mr. Nice Guy, but he's far from nice says his ex.
Tony Bennett's former wife, Sandra Grant Bennett, mother of two of his children, is working on a tell-all book (warts and all) about the legendary crooner.
"The Tony I knew is not the same smiley Mr. Nice Guy the world knows," says Sandra.
Amongst the startling revelations: Bennett's drug use, a near-deadly cocaine overdose, and his onetime financial woes.
We hope he's still not doing coke anymore! He's in his 80s!

why is anyone surprised? all those crooners were on the white shit. it's not a new thing.
ok.
Got nothin' but love for you Xtina, but for Christ's sake tone down the blusher!
I think its "warts and all" dipshit
firsttttttttt
Ouch
Oh yeah and who gives a fuck about old people
Ugh, he's so old and gross!
First!
Isn't he already dead?
Oh, for god sakes. I hope no one buys that book. Tony's a legend and still a great singer. Who cares what his money hungry ex wife has to say. We could fill up a million bookstores with books from ex-spouses wanting to say bad stuff. Who would pay for that crap?
Bitter bitch
NO ONE IS PERFECT IN HOLLYWOOD.
Who iz tony tony???
Don't judge a book by it's cover.. next!
If you think any celebrity is a "nice guy" you're a fucking retard. Everyone has a dark side.
what does it matter if you're first or not?????? please
Do not believe this ex-wife? why write about it now? He is 80 years old!
if there is a time to do coke its in your 80s, gosh if i make it that long i will!
she was married to him 30 years ago
well, of course he was nasty when he was with her… that's why people get divorced. She probably drove him to use the "white stuff".
Stina looks very uncomfortable in that picture…
He also gave some girl an STD and she sued him. So the 'warts & all' is really true. Lots of show business people are split personalities and are difficult to live with.
It is nice to see a true talent and young person who has talent be considerate and nice to an old nobody never was anybody like this tony ben whatever nobody that should be buried
All of that information is in HIS autobiography, "The Good Life," 1998. He tells it all!
It is pretty common knowledge that Tony was heavily into coke. I am pretty sure he has talked about it himself.
HE TALKED ABOUT MOST OF THIS IN HIS AUTOBIOGRAPHY "THE GOOD LIFE"
WHICH CAME OUT IN THE 90'S.
so what?! he's frickin awesome
I HAVE A TRULY AMAZING STORY TO PROVE THAT REGARDLESS OF THIS ARTICLE, TONY BENNETT HAS A HUGE HEART!!!!!!: my grandparents anniversary was coming up, so my aunt cathy got them tickets to see tony bennett, with another couple that have been their best friend for years. they got all dressed up, and left extra early in a limo that we got for them, because they had to pick up the couple in conroe (where they used to live, they now live in houston). anyways, they were on the 45, and there had been some huge accident, so traffic slowed completely stopped. it stopped for THREE HOURS. my grandfather has alzheimers, so this was extremely hard to deal with. they finally got to conroe, but knew that they wouldnt get to go to the concert. it was a really sad thing to happen to them. BUT, HERES WHERE TONY BENNETT COMES IN: my aunt was so heartbroken (as were we) that she was determined to get ahold of him. she found out where his next show was, and sent letters to various hotels…(letting him know the story, etc) a few weeks later, they got a package in the mail: IT WAS FROM TONY BENNETT!!!!!! he sent them a personalized signed poster, a cd, and a letter. he said "dear emmett and geri, sorry i missed you in houston! i will see you next time i come in town! with love, tony bennett ps: your aunt cathy really loves you" what he did was so sweet, and it really made my grandparents smile. sorry this was such a long story, but if you read it, i hope you enjoyed it.
oh, and PS: dont you think his ex would have stupid shit to say about him? shes his EX. shes not going to say nice things!
Good Lord!!! The man can croke anyday and this bitch wanna start talking shit?!?!?!? Just because he did coke and wasn't all happy with her skank ass doesn't make the man a bad man!!!!!!!!! That bitch needs to be slapped!!! No one should buy that book!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Whoever does should get slapped too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
wow. Christina actually looks cute.
Anyone who would trash their children's father - a man in his 80's - should be ashamed of herself. He has brought joy to millions of people - so he wasn't perfect - so what? Do the decent thing and let your children and grandchildren enjoy his legacy in peace.
Get real, no one is who they say they are.
On a scale of 1 to 10 in tell-alls, this sounds like a snoozing negative 5….
Why does Aguilera looks so uncomfortable standing next to him?
she doesnt look to thrilled to be with him. cant blame her.
well, duh - that entire generation of actors and singers were pumped full of blow and pills.
and if he's in his 80's and still railing, more power to him. he's living for today.
OK THIS IS THE ENTERTAINMENT WORLD….BUT IT'S HARD TO BELIEVE TONY BENNETT DOING COKE LET ALONE BEING MEAN….ALTHOUGH COKE DOES MAKE PEOPLE MEAN…AND THIS IS THE ENTERTAINMENT BUSINESS……..I CHOOSE NOT TO BELIEVE IT….IT THINK SOMEONE IS BITTER AND WANTS TO MAKE MONEY…..DAMN I'M GLAD I'M NOT FAMOUS…..IT HURTS MY FEELINGS ENOUGH WHEN PEOPLE DISS MY COMMENTS ON THIS SITE AND THEY DON'T EVEN KNOW ME AND CAN'T SEE ME
One of my craziest experiences in a concert was seeing him at Radio City Music Hall about 20 years ago. In case you don't know, he also paints. Not bad..not great. Anyway, while he's singing, he's showing his paintings on rear projections WITH PRICE TAGS!!!! It was so tacky.
Aha, I love Christina's fake smile and akwardness as she is forced to give Uncle Tony a big hug.
who hasnt! LOL
WHAT ABOUT YOUR "METH SHAME" PEREZ??????????? HYPOCRITE MUCH!!!!
I met Tony Bennett in 1989 in St. Pete, FL. He is an artist and had some paintings on display at the mall where I worked. I am an artist also, and was looking at one of his works when he came up to me (I was a teenager and didn't recognize him) and said, "What do you think - do you like this piece?" I said, "It's pretty, but the artist made a couple of mistakes… See? Here, here and here." He turned, looked me dead on in the eye and said, "It's always nice to meet an amateur. Hi, I'm Tony Bennett, and I painted that." LOL!
