He's no Justin Timberlake, and he knows it!
Former 'Nsync member J.C. Chasez has just been dropped by his record label. However, he was attempting to spin things differently at the Us Weekly Hot Hollywood Party on Wednesday night, telling reporters that he "mutually parted ways" with Jive Records.
Uh huh!
Gay-C is looking for a new record label. Any takers?
"It's show business, but right now it's business, show," he lamented to USA Today. "I have some material that I want to get out and it's about timing and all that other stuff, but I have a great record coming out."
We do feel kinda bad for him. Unlike others - cough * cough* Britney - at least J.C. is trying. And he cares!

ohhhh i feel so bad for him! he was by far my fav in nsync. he can really sing and dance too! i hope he finds his way (go work with justin!!!!!)

Awwwww I feel bad for him too. I've never been an Nsync fan, but I always thought JC was the best singer in the band, so it really sucks. I mean, I love JT, but he's such an arrogant ass, and JC looks like a cool dude, he seems to work hard and he deserves to have a hit record.

I think he has a better voice than JT, but JT has been better at selling the whole package and keeping himself out there than him. Also, JT tends to stick with one particular kind of sound whereas JC hasn't been able to create something easy to categorise.

Agreed - JC's debut was way better than JT's. Schizophonic is in my Top 10 Albums ever - so varied, ambitious and it all works.

I loved JC's last album, and I was anxious for "Kate" to come out, maybe one day we'll get to hear it. He has all the talent, but no one to help him get there!!!

I agree with many posters here. I think JC is a far better musician than Justin, and he had the stronger solo debut album, too. I hope it's true that he decided to leave Jive because, obviously, they were doing nothing for him. Whether he finds a new label or decides to take the indie route, I wish him well.
I really enjoy a few of the songs on Justin's new album (good job, Timbaland!), but I just don't get all the hype. He's not that great a singer, he's not that great a dancer, and he's not all that hot, either (especially that awful chia head look!). JC always had him beat on all three fronts, I think.

he had good club/dance songs, like with BT. he should stick to that. not everybody can be as big and mainstream and justin timberlake. he needs to ring up BT or tiesto and get another hot club banger going.
I heard about this like 3 weeks ago, and JC did drop Jive. They werent giving him the proper promotion he needed. His last cd was amazing and there was very little promotion on Jive's part. JC is such an underestmated talent and its a shame his last cd didn't get the publicity it deserved. I saw him do a show at The House of Blues in Chicago a couple years ago and in my opinion, he blows Justin out of the water when it comes to live shows. JC is a fantastic performer.
JC is ultra talented. His CD still gets more spins on my CD player than both of JT's CDs. I like JT but JC is a true talent and willing to take chances.
