David Beckham arrived in London on Thursday. Unfortunately, this trip back home was prompted by some sad news.
The soccer star found out Wednesday night that his father, Ted, suffered a heart attack and had been rushed to the hospital.
Our thoughts are with Becks and his fam.

His dad was an asshole. I feel bad for Becks because when his dad dies he's gonna have to live with never being able to have a real father again. But his dad is a piece of crap who tried to make money off his son by writing a book about him and ultimately dissing up and revealing personal family info about him.
In short… he was a scumbag, and he'll be missed by very few.

He Fell out with his father coz he wrote a book, beckham needs to remember that without his dad he would never have been a soccer player. The book his dad wrote was all about his son, and it was a book full of love for his son. Because "Brand Beckham" didnt get any money out of the book, David fell out with his dad. #43 - Falling out doesn't mean they stopped seeing each other! Beckham's dad has been in the pictures of every major event and family gathering in Becks' life since that book came out, and Beckham has never stopped speaking about him with affection and appreciation — especially when he talks to kids about how he got where he is now.
I might be pretty pissed off if my dad published a book about me without mentioning it first, but we all get mad at our parents about things. We all just don't have headlines hollering about it when it happens — and then of course no one ever has headlines saying everything's fine now.

I'm glad David rushed to his fathers side.Its only right.So what if Davids dad wrote a book about him….it was a good book and he's entitled to earn a living just like David …he and his POINTLESS wife POSH have done far worse things than write a book to make money..POSH regularly leaves her kids for long periods of time to flog some jewellry or make up or for a photo op ( recent trip to New York is case in point)….she was the reason David's relationship with his dad was so poor in the first place…she treats him like dirt with zero zero respect…..David so weak a human being he doesn't stand up to it….. his dad did more for David than Victoria ever has or will in her entire life …she's ….pointless….simply pointless ! Do you stock them everyday and know whats going on? Yeah don't think so. What does Victoria have to do with him and his dads relationship? His dad posted a book without his permission, Victoria's no where in there. And David and his father patched things up which was good. AND Victoria left Japan for her new opening there, 5 MINUTES BEFORE! without second thinking and left to go comfort David. Now thats marriage! Thats what good couples do.
