      Hey George, unless it's making you too lazy to write music or perform pot isn't a bad thing. If the world only smoked pot (gave up all the really bad drugs and booze) this world would be a wonderful place to live in. Instead of fighting, we'd all have the munchies! As a pregnant woman I'd also like to add that pot is better at curbing morning sickness, and helps to make you hungry which is good news for my baby.
      There are "perscription" drugs out there that are far worse for your body than dope. And they are more "legal". That's so fucked up! If poeple are taking other drugs along with weed that's probably what's screwing things up. Stick to pot and only pot. Alcohol is a far worse substance and everyone thinks drinking is okay…it isn't. I don't drink any alcohol (I'm allergic) and I'm really glad about that. People don't smash cars from pot…it's from the booze. Let's try to fix the real problem and stop trying to use dope as a scapegoat. And if you're going to judge me or other dope smokers think of this….. when's the last time you heard of someone dying from pot. Do you know someone who has an illness and their doctor perscribed some weed and now they feel better than ever. Also, weed is NOT a gateway drug! I have no interest in drugs like coke, or heroine or any other garbage because…I DON"T WANT TO KILL MYSELF! Life is nice just with the green. And to all other herb smokers, CHEERS!

      Marajuana should be made legal

      My mom smoked it around me when i was a teenager and it was horrible. she smoked it twice a day and pretty much every second when she was "sober" she got an awful memory. I thankfully dont have a relationship with her anymore and shes gone bankrupt but I couldnt give a fuck.
      I hate weed, alcohol, ciggerettes and every other drug.

      regarding post #63. Sorry that your neice was in an accident… but you mentioned she also took other drugs. I think that is where the problem lies. I also have friends that take cocaine along with dope and I can see how messed up they are. I've avoided spending time with them.
      We all make choices and they are not always the best for ourselves. Depending on each persons situation or lifestyle it can be really tough. But I do think it's unfair to put the blame on dope as a starting drug. Sometimes "friends" can pressure young people into other drugs or perhaps a really addictive personality can take it too far. But please don't think that every dope smoker is going down that same road. You know what has occurred in your own experience so of course you'd feel the way you do. And yes, dope had different effects on different people. But as a dope smoker for many years and even being in situations where I could have experienced other drugs I chose not to. I know what the others can do to your body and I don't want that for myself. Yes I can't speak for all the other dope smokers that "dabble" in other drugs, but I can say that weed would be enough for me. I'm glad your neice is better and clean. Best of luck!

Please, Look up endocannaboids/cannabinoid receptors online. It explains what many mothers of children with autism already know-that pot can be used as medicine when it is grown correctly. Most street pot is grown for profit only- therefore it is harvested too quickly resulting in the strain that makes one get tired and hungry. (Although this strain is great for cancer patients and those with eating disorders), It can make you lazy if you smoke too much of it-this strain is what the average joe is self-medicating with. Before you judge all potsmokers or even yourself, please research the what the endocannabinoids strains can do to help very sick and mentally ill people, or even those with mild ADD and depression. The legal drug industry wants us all to think pot is bad. Personally I think it is a million times worse for a physician to make their patients drug addicts by writing a adderall & ritalin prescriptions. Maybe George Michael need to visit a Dr. who truly wants to help him and not just get rich.

      regarding post #78 Thank you for your posting. I too research online and articles about pot. As a pregnant woman I have to. Without research and understanding exactly what goes into our bodies is a far worse fate than just smoking dope. I personally hate taking any sort of pills, perscribed or not. I'm even hesitant taking Tylenol or cold medication. I'd rather let my body clean itself out.
      But your posting makes a good point. If you have a loved one that has a severe illness and marijuana was the only thing that helped them (yes, sometimes even doctors can't help) wouldn't you want to help them feel better? If it were my choice, yes. I'd rather they were comfortable than suffering.
      But to get back on topic… George Michael is a very talented artist…dope, or no dope. But if he thinks he's taking too much than maybe he should cut back. But don't hate him for that reason. There are huge numbers of dope smokers in the general public and I'm sure also in the entertainment industry. Before judging, try to read up on some information first.
