Britney's Family: A Public Cry For Help!
Relatives of frequent and habitual drug user Britney Spears are worried sick about her and speaking out!
In an exclusive interview with The Sun, Britney's aunt, Kentwood resident Chanda McGovern, says:
"We are very worried that things are going to spiral out of control.
“Instead of her turning to her family she is going to turn to the friends she has been hanging with — and the partying and drugs.
“And whether it be intentionally or accidental, there may be a drugs overdose.
“We are worried about suicidal tendencies in her.
“Everything is spiralling down and she has not got a backbone — a family member to help her.
“We fear that one day we may turn on the TV that she’s done something terrible to herself.”
“Every time you turn the TV on it’s something and every time it’s more negative than the last. It gets worse and worse. Not wearing panties is not something a true southern girl would do.
“Then, in front of the paparazzi when she crashed into the car and said, ‘Oops’ and took off, she knows better than that.”
“In some of the clips we’ve seen it looks like either she’s on something or so drunk she doesn’t know what world she’s in.
“It’s heartbreaking. Everybody is human, but she needs to come back down to earth. Her mother was always her backbone. Since they’ve fallen out everything has gone to hell.
“The kids came second and her party life came first so it really wasn’t a shock that the kids have been taken away from her. It was just very disappointing.
“You just want to reach out and grab her and hug her and tell her you love her. I want to knock some sense into her and say, ‘Britney — wake up!’
“It’s almost like it’s a nightmare and we want her to wake up from it.
“But she’s a grown woman. She knows how to make her mind up and she’s choosing the wrong path.”

I just feel so bad for those kids. My sons are the same age as hers, and I just want to cry when I think of those boys going through all of this.
It's good to hear from her family. I wish her mother would issue a similar statement. Britney may be too far gone to care a this point though. Maybe they'll have to wait until she hits rock bottom before she'll reach out to them.

You know, I'm not normall in support of families speaking out publically like that, but in Britny's case I'm GLAD that some of her family members are doing their best to reach out to the girl. She has pushed all of them out of her life, and has suffered for it greatly. The girl needs serious help. Drugs are NOT her only problem. I don't think they help any either mind you, but she definitely has other things going on with her that are far worse. I hope that she finally breaks down and allows them to come back into her life, and lets them help her. Her aunt is right: she is a grown woman, who has to WANT to make those changes. They can't force it on her. She has to hit rock bottom enough to want to move her life in a different direction. I just hope that it happens before it is too late! Having her children taken away from her is bad enough! What does it have to take to get her to wake up, and see what is going on with herself?!? I'm afraid she'll just end up another Anna Nicole Smith, and lose everything, including her life!

Personally, I feel that this is way past funny. At first, I would look at her and laugh at what a mess she had become; how she threw it all away. However, the more I read, the more truely scared I am for her. Having turned over her children 2 days prior to when she was required to, tells me that there may some post-partum depression lurking in this girl. Until she gets professional help, I cannot see her ways changing whatsoever.
