Parenting a child star has to have perks and pitfalls. But the child couldn't become rich & famous without the parent. And the parent couldn't receive any benefits without the child.
Going into business with another individual usually always has it's ups and downs. But going into business with your "child" has to be a hundred times harder. You are making decisions for someone who, once grown, is undoubtedly going to see every single mistake you made on their behalf and blame you, the parent.
