The Black Eyed Peas performed in El Salvador this weekend.

Noticeably absent from the Friday night concert, though, was Fergie.

The group's singer did come out briefly in sweats, a cap and dark sunglasses (above) and told the crowd that she ate some bad seafood and was not well.

"I'm not one of those singers that cancels a show due to exhaustion," she told the crowd.

She then proceeded to butcher her way through Big Girls Don't Cry.

However, we have some newfound respect for Fergie Ferg.

The band's already said they will make it up to the Salvadorian people with another concert real soon.

I've heard from a LOT of artists and bands that they are SCARED SHITLESS when they tour South America!! Why?? Because they can easily get their asses kidnapped and held for ransom ( or worse, killed! )

So when artists tour South America, they arrive within hours before the performance, and fly themselves out soon after they finish the concert…most of the time they dont even have time to change out of their concert clothes, they just wanna be out of there!!

Ok! I was at the concert! She was definetly DRUNK! Hotel surces told us the same, that's why se waited a looooong time to get to the stadium… The concert was supposed to start at 8.30 and started at 10.15…
then after 45 min they left without saying bye and fergie came out sayin she was sorry… but definetly… DRUNK…

She, and her fans, would have reaped more benefits if Fergie had cancelled the show due to 'exhaustion' as opposed to subjecting everyone to that performance. And I use the word performance loosely.

Ok, so i was there

the place was packed! the concert started out kinda late, but the guys were really cool. And though fergie didnt perform, it was hell of a show. Everyone was singin and dancin' to the songs, but when fergie came out, the crowd went mad. I think it was really sweet of her to come out and apologize to the fans, not many artists do that. I hope she keeps her promise and comes back for that free concert she offered! (Though, i doubt it!:P)

On the good side: it was a hell of a show, and it was cheap (the most expensive tickets were only US$60, and c'mon its the bep!). Seriously, I thought they'd be US$120 at least, cuz when some shitty mexican artists come here, its like ridiculously expensive. But it should've been longer, it lasted like an hour only, and the bep guys left and didnt say goodbye. So, at the end some people were really pissed off 'cuz of this, and started booing and throwing glowsticks at the stage. And they refused to leave, too!

But i was happy, my friends and i had a good time, and very few good artists come down here!

I¨m from EL Salvador and i suffer the scam of yesterday´s night concert. I think it was unprofessional not to cancel the show because she could just did that and posponed the show and give the complete show another day soon. They knew we were expecting to see Fergie in the show . The thing is that i dont believe shes comming back, she just said that because she was very ashamed. They didn´t even finish the concert! they just went out of stage without saying even goobye and left all of us waiting there.
I feel really pissed because it´s true that everybody can get sick.. but we prefer a posponed concert than being left without nothing after all. So keep thinking she´s a hero, but actually not everything you read on the web it´s true.. you have to see it for yourself…

To shittyaward, FYI: El Salvador is in Central America, not South America.

And to ella jay, "good on her for being big enough to go out there and sing even in that state". Its not a state, its a country, and show some respect. I know a lot of people have a bad image of El Salvador and salvadorians, but you shouldnt generalize. Its a beautiful country– we have some shitty government just like the US does—but its not as dangerous as everyone says and stuff. I've never been robbed or anything. And salvadorians i know are kind and great people. No complaints! Viva la pilsener y las pupusas!

I was there, im from El Salvador, i was first row in that concert last night and it sucked!!!! The guys were really nice, they tried their best but it wasnt the same without Fergie, everybody went to the concert for her, and she didnt show up untill the end of it saying she was food poisoned…bullshit!! she was high or something, she looked drunk!! it was the biggest deception ever!! at least she came out to say "im sorry" and offer a free concert real soon, wich no one here think its going to really happen, but anyway…it was a total shame!!
