Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and their kids are like a traveling pack of gypsies. They're never in one spot for too long and have been all over the world these last two years.
For the time being, the family has set up shop in New York City, where they are staying at the posh Waldorf Towers.
Check this….
Brange are paying an astonishing $100,000 a month for their New York pad. And they don't even own it.
They're renting!
Brange's NY pad is 6,000 square feet and came fully furnished.
The "sprawling" apartment features five bedrooms plus a library that they have converted into a sixth, plus six baths and a huge gourmet kitchen.
You know, we're always curious. How does this work???
Does Brad pay for it all? Does he split the costs for their extravagant lifestyle with Ange? Do they split it 50/50? Does he pay more? Do they do it according to who makes more?

what happened to angie wanting to be a "regular" mom, when they bought that house in new orleans? you know, she was hanging out at parks and trying to befriend mom's at her kids' school. i guess the mothers of new orleans sent that vampire packing.
They each make millions of dollars each year, though Pitt probably makes a little more because he's been making more movies than Jolie. Besides movies, Jolie also does television commercials (overseas) and fashion ads. The $100,000 rent on a Waldorf Astoria apartment is not exorbitant. Whether they split everything 50/50 is irrelevent. Who cares? What an exciting and purposeful life that whole family leads!
Whoever came up with the idea of staying at such an expensive place should be the one to pay…what a waste of money!!!

That's so wasteful. $100,000 for rent is disgusting! it's a bit hypocritcal of them to be spending so much money to live in luxury. I can understand wanting to stay some place that is comfortable and that will accomdate them since they are a large family but this is completely unecessary.

What a waste of $$$$ they could be donating. Those poor kids living in a hotel, sorry freaks but to say it is ok is denial. Kids need structure, their beds and security. What kind of back yard can you have when you live in a hotel. What age you think Z will be in rehab?? and having her boyfriend moving in with her 14 like Angie or younger?

Come on folks! If you also scream at Bill Gates, Oprah, Bono, and numerous other famous philanthropists for living a life of luxury while helping others who are less fortunate, while you donate most of your income to help others instead of spending on yourself or your kids' luxury items, then I will accept your criticism of this couple.
Who really cares? Most of us are so busy working out our OWN expenses that we don't have time to worry about how some celebrity splits their cost of living.
One thing that DOES concern me is wouldn't one expect adopted children to have more stability than that? Do these children have the opportunity to form lasting friendships & bonds with people outside their "circle" moving around so much? Kinda sad & selfish on Brange's part to me.

It's great that they donate money. It's great that they bring attention to issues but take a hard look at their other actions. Spending this kind of money on a hotel is a complete waste and goes against everything that they supposedly stand for. I don't donate a 1/3 of my money to charity because I can't afford to (like most can't) but I also don't spend an obscene amount of money on things that are wasteful. Also, donating money for people who have loads of it is a tax write off. They have it to spare and need to get rid of it somehow. If they were ONLY doing it for the right reasons there wouldn't be a camera crew around everytime they did something "good".

Say what you want about them but they do much more then most celebrities, with possibly the only exception of Oprah. They can spend whatever money they have earned whatever way they want, that is no one's business. It is not thier fault that Hollywood is willing to pay actors 20 million a movie, believe me if I was offered that money I would take it in a heart beat. They give enough of thier money and time to the causes they believe in, they deserve to enjoy thier good fortune anyway they want.

Perez, I have been wondering about that too. I think they probably determine which one of them makes what percentage of their combined total income and then split the bills accordingly. Say he makes 70% and she makes 30% of their total 1 billion dollar annual income, so he pays $70,000 and she pays $30,000 of the $100,000 monthly rent on their pricey NY love nest. But in reality they probably just tell their money people to take care of fairly dividing their living costs so they don't have to contaminate their relationship with talks about the budget. The more bewildering thought to me is how they decide where to travel at any given moment. Do they just wake up in the morning and throw darts at a map of the world?

This one's easy - whoever gets the write-off pays the rent. Brad is working in New York; chances are he negotiated a massive living allowance in his contract, but anything out-of-pocket is a "professional expense" and a tax write-off. Celebrities have the best tax accountants in the world. 100% of their fabulous lifestyle is written off, This is why they are all liberals and don't care how high taxes are…all their luxuries come from pre-tax dollars.

They want to keep their FAMILY together and both make enough money to do that and live in style while in NY. With Nannies and 4 children, that is not so large when you also think about no yard for the kids to play in. That's why you see them out and about so much with the children. At least one of them and sometimes both take the kids to school and They or both take them shopping for things for the CHILDREN. Nannies just seem to help out when needed but the quality time for development for the children is done by Brad and Angelina themselves. A lot of other celebrities would do well to learn from them.
1.2 mill a year is chump change for them. Without even touching their principal that is easily paid by a small fraction of their interest rate returned on their assets.
In new york 1.2 mill is cheap!!!!!!!!!!! a year for a modestly sized apartment. They are renting at a great discount for that size in NY

in NY NY a single bedroom can run a mil rent a year, they are recieving a HUGE!! discount for NY based probably on publicity for the place and when they move out the rent can be increased to even higher rates because it can be advertised as "brad and ang lived here"

I saw a few other photos of Angie from this shoot. OMG she is even thinner than ever. The only thing attractive about her is her face - which is why the mags all crop around that. Her body is so emaciated. She really needs help. She's at least as bad as Nicole Ritchie used to be.
