Marc Anthony's ex-wife, Dayanara Torres, is denying reports in the Spanish language press that she confirmed the news that Jennifer Lopez is pregnant.
The former Miss Universe is now saying that she was misquoted and just released the following statement:
"I have neither confirmed, nor have first-hand knowledge of any pregnancy. I had been advised of pregnancy 'rumors' by my manager who wanted to make sure I was aware in case my children heard anything at school that I may need to address; so when I was approached by a reporter who stated as fact that my children were to have a new sibling soon, I assumed that this had been confirmed. My answer to him was that though they had no knowledge of a sibling, that I imagine that they will be incredibly happy. Marc, his family and I have a very respectful and mature relationship which we work hard to conserve for the benefit of our children."

We know how the media asks questions to manipulate/elicit a certain response from the interviewee. Then you come back and say "oh she confirmed it". She confirmed squat.

If you had bothered to read the first article (in Spanish), this would be no surprise to you. They asked her what her children thought about the idea of having a new brother or sister, and she said, "I suppose they will be happy". She wasn't referring to JLo and Marc. I think she probably does know, one way or the other, but that is what she actually said in the article.
Seriously I get the vibe that JLo is a control freak on top of regular Diva-ness. So I agree JLo does work fast, I bet she said that Marc would stop or lower the child support payments if she didn't recant. lol
They told Dayanara that if she didn't find a suitable way to retract her statement, M&L might not accrue as much money( for the pics and interview) then she wouldn't get as much of a cut of the child support. Since Marc will get paid for his part in the interview Dayanara get's a cut on that part. Hence ruining the announcement lowers the offers and all that respect crap she said (she hates both of them in real life)
