He's proud of his heritage…but HE'S AMERICAN. His parents worked hard to get here, to give him the opportunities he couldn't have in Yugoslavia. Are you saying that everyone who lives here should consider themselves their heritage instead of Americans? That's the mindset that will destroy this country. Maybe that's because since Chris Columbus "discovered" the New World in 1492, "white people" have brought nothing but colonialism, slavery and genocide to the native inhabitants. Maybe because white people justified their annihilation of the natives by using racist ideology. Maybe because they also colonized and enslaved African nations and people and colonized and economically dominated Asian nations and people–all while using racist ideology to justify their oppression. Because of that history of racism and oppression of non-whites by whites, it's currently unacceptable to express pride in being white. Duh!
