Someone who was born in France, lives in France, speaks French and doesn't know Spanish is French! It doesn't matter where their parents were from. Especially if they haven't brought them up according to the traditions of the country they were born in.
The French way of life is ingrained in them. They only know life in France.
If their parents came from Mexico but lived in France (and acted like their French born and bred neighbors) for the past 20 years then their being Mexican doesn't stand for much!
If you have a Scottish mother and a German father what does that make you???? You can't be half a person!! (okay technically your ethnicity, your roots will be half scottish half german) but you can't ACTUALLY claim to be HALF A SCOTTISH PERSON and HALF A GERMAN PERSON.
If you have a scottish mother, german father and were born and raised in Sweden, knew nothing about germany or scotland and couldn't speak German would it makes sense to call yourself German?? No !!!!!!!!
