We told you exclusively a couple of days ago that Jennifer Lopez's new CD, Brave, was expected to debut low its first week out.
That's an understatement!
The record BOMBED. And it hurt.
Just how badly did Brave do?
J. Lo's new album failed to crack the Top Ten in the U.S.! Yup, it came in at #12, selling just 53,000 albums.
All of Jennifer's six previous studio albums - even her recent Spanish one - managed to debut in the Top 10.
Her last English-language CD, Rebirth, debuted in 2005 at #2, selling 261,000 copies. That's five times more than her new CD sold this past week!

Who beat her???
Josh Groban did! Yup, the pretty-voiced singer's new album, Noel, debuted at #10, selling 64,000 copies.
Not only did Josh Groban beat J. Lo, but he beat her with a Christmas album! In October!
Country singer Sara Evans also beat Lopez with her Greatest Hits, which came in at #8 with 66,000.
LeAnn Rimes' Family debuted startlingly well this week, selling 74,000 copies, good enough for a #4 position.
And, to our surprise and disgust, Kid Rock's new album, Rock 'N' Roll Jesus, debuted at #1 this week, selling 172,000 copies.
Last week's #1, Bruce Springsteen's Magic, slips to #2 this week, selling 133,000 (down 60%). And Rascal Flatts' Still Feels Good is #3 this week with 96,000.

Not surprising - Vocally; she stinks! Her husband must be madly in love with her; b/c to do a concert with someone who cannot sing, when compared to his incredible vocal talent - it makes no sense. He is the true star here, when it comes to singing.
I don't think that is too bad. I didn't see much press on it leading up to when it dropped. And she is an actress/singer…. I think it would be different if she was only a singer. It would suck for Leanne Rimes to have an album come out so low because that is her livlihood. Jennifer Lopez has so many irons in so many fires that as long as she does okay on each, she's still making bank and reaching people through different avenues.

You cannot compare the vocals of Lopez with that of Leann Rimes and Sara Evans they two of the strongest vocalist working today. Rimes is still a kid but already a veteran performer. Both Rimes and Evans are award winning singers, held in high esteem by their peers and the industy.
No one except Latinos even consider Lopez either a vocalist or an actress. She is a personality, her only talent is marketing herself and getting involved with famous men.

Wow, this truly baffles me. I mean not that I think J Lo has real talent or anything, but how many mainstream pop singers really do? I don't think there was enough promo for this album. Rebirth had lots of publicity which started 3 weeks before the album was released. I think her pregnancy and her tour are taking up her most of her time. I downloaded the album online and i like a few songs.
