I've always been a Whitney fan, but she's pretty crazy. I would love to see her make a comeback, but we've been waiting for a long time now and she's done nothing. She once had an amazing voice and I still rock out to classic Whitney (How Will I Know, I Wanna Dance with Somebody), but I think her time is over. I just can't see her singing songs that would be popular today. I think that's where Mariah's music has changed with the times (or better yet, changed the times). I hope she does do well, she once was one of the best.

Any drug addict is a person with a disease. It takes alot of strength and alot of self-evaluation to overcome addiction, not to mention the toatal lifestyle change.
No one is celebrating her addiction, the kind words are a celebration of her recovery. Even if you have money stopping using drugs is VERY hard. Actually having money makes it even harder because your supply is always available. Being famous is also a problem because people will give you drugs because of your name.
You are very uneducated on this topic and obviously a very subjective person, so it would be best if you keep quite.

Wow it is amazing how people can over-analyze an appearance. Yes Whitney's speech was not perfect. One she was reading from a prompter and you could tell that she was confident but nervous……which is understandable considering everything she has been through and the amount of time it has been since she has made an appearance and SPOKE in front of an audience that size! No one is celebrating her drug abuse but she is a human being who was and still is incredibly talented. Just as MANY singers and artists have gone through similar experiences. We are just grateful that her story didn't end up like Billie Holiday or Marilyn.

The difference between her and Britney is that Whitney has finally made an effort to change for the better. Something we have not seen Britney make any real attempt. You don't see Whitney hitting up the club every night ramming her car into everything in sight. And Whitney HAS FULL custody of her child and isn't in danger of losing it. So there is a huge difference.

Oh and Whitney has done more charity work and supported more causes in the last few decades than most people do in thier entire lives or even think about.

Whitney has only released 5 studio albums the other 3 were soundtracks. Her 5 studio albums have sold over a 100 million copies. Madonna and Mariah have released way more albums. At one point Mariah was releasing a album every year, well it seemed like it. LOL Whitney hasn't had to put out album after album to achieve what those two have with more album releases. I would much rather hear Whitney or Celin over Mariah any day. People talk about Whitney's voice, but if you listen to Mariah, her voice isn't as good as it used to be. Criss Angel Is Recorded Threatening To Knock Out His Producer!

The Luxor headlining illusionist was recorded having quite the verbal altercation with Joe Monti, one of his magic producers on Wednesday, during which Angel is heard threatening to knock him out - and now he's had a police report filed against him!
