   Re: SpeakEnglish – Is it not possible to be proud American AND proud Latino/a, Irishman, African American etc. at the same time. I know it is and there's not a damn thing wrong with it. It is not racist to be proud of who you are and embrace your heritage (even if you were born in this country). It is however racist to blame one group of people for as you put it "over-populating, when they are not filling up our schools, emergency rooms and jails" and expecting them to lose there heritage to assimulate to the white way of life. That's the great thing about this country which you obviously love, it's made up of people from all around the world all of which should be celebrated instead of disgarded.
