Carrie Underwood's sophomore CD was released on Tuesday of this week.
Based on first day sales and projections, she is headed for a #1 debut and could sell up to 450,000 in week one, PerezHilton.com has learned.
Wow! Talk about hitting a home run!
By comparison, Kelly Clarkson's latest CD, My December, sold 291,000 copies in its first week and then took a nosedive.
Underwood's radio-friendly disk is expected to "have legs," as they say in the music industry for albums with longevity.

Lets get realistic people. Carrie Underwood is small,small time when trying to compare her against a global world icon like Shania Twain who made country music cool all over the world.
Shania had one album alone sell over 38 million worldwide and has sold 85 million with only 4 cd's. Now that is what you call big and huge and worldwide.
And Shania lives in privacy and seclusion in switzerland and New Zealand planning her next worldwide mega album for 2008 and new world tour.
All others are small time when you can look up to a classy megastar like Shania
