They've started a petition that they're going to send to the frequent drunk driver's judge, hoping he will take leniency on her cuz she's a wonderful human being.

"We do not believe that the imprisonment of this women is a demonstration of justice nor a fair punishment for her crimes. She is a good person. I think the judge was lenient–according to the laws. Although, I dig this chick I got a DUI, too. However, I was fortunate to not be in the public eye. I hope this board realizes that celebrities get stiffer sentences, because they are examples. It sucks! So many people drive drunk all the time. DUI is .08 and up. Those papers the DMV gives everyone for deciding how many drinks they can have is completely wrong. It really depends on your body's ability to metabolize alcohol. 1 drink could be .08. Recognize this and start using alternate methods of transport when drinking.

Paris' was her 1st offense. Not only does Michelle have multiple DWIs, this isn't the first time she violated probation. Judges don't make this stuff up…there are sentencing guidelines that determine an appropriate range of punishment given the offense (s). She made her bed. I can't believe she only got six months considering this isn't her first. In Texas, you can go to PRISON for years on a second or multiple DWI. I know b/c i was sentenced to 121 days for my FIRST DWI, first and only arrest ever, in Texas. The punishment was fair, I went to jail and I deserved it b/c drinking and driving is unacceptable. But to drink and drive again and again with impunity and then display an indignant attitude toward the consequences is arrogant and offensive to me. She hasn't gotten off easy and now her lame, out-of-touch friends are whining and playing the she's-a-great-human-being card. Tell that to my friend (we'll just call her Y), a poor, black woman from Texas who is half-way through an 18 month Prison sentence for probation violation not because she drank and drove again and not b/c she picked up another charge like Rodriguez but b/c she stopped paying her probation fees. Rodriguez needs to get sit in a dirty holding tank and get over herself.

Re: cb – You obviously do not know the way DUI's work in California. A single DUI is a 6 month jail sentence. The alternatives to the jail sentence are: a class once a week for whatever time they decide( AB something ) , MAAD, AA, Community Service, Fines, some jail time, etc. You are not required to do any of these things you may go to jail instead and serve your sentence. However, the DMV will not give you your license back–unless you take this AB class. The DMV makes their own rules. I know I went through the process. And. The judge, Beverly Hills court house, who had my case will tell you…you can learn from me exactly the right way to handle your case. This is what he told all the hearings that followed mine. I did not contradict myself, I know what I am talking about.
