After watching the trailer for Paris Hilton's new film, one thing is blatantly obvious. This shiz is an instant camp classic!

It's sooooo cheesy. But in a really good way.

REPO! The Genetic Opera is like Phantom on crack - and it even stars Sarah Brightman.

They must have paid her in cookies and coke!

In addition to Paris and the original Christine, the film also stars Paul Sorvino, Billy Moseley, Alexa Vega and Anthony Head.

It is soooo wonderfully camp. We've watched the trailer like five times already. We love it!

Its a fucking musical. Many of you fucking retards have no appreciation for this type of movie. It is not bad. It is just different. I was on the set of REPO The Opera last week. I was an extra on the set and we all had to pretend and react to scenes where Paris should have been in but wasn't because she just WASN'T. Apparently some of the extras that where there the night before got to watch Paris lip synch her way through a few musical numbers but it was soo awful that even with the track playing behind her she was booo'd. That's rough! Because of the booing they had to reshoot everything the following day with new extras… more Roughness!

On the up side everyone said that at the end of the day she was very friendly to all of the extras and came to say hello in our holding room.

My shoot MINUS Paris was cool. The look and atmosphere and props are amazing. It's definately creepy and very sexual… it's a nice balance thought. It's very ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOWesque!

Alexa Vega was almost naked and very seductively dancing and rubbing up agains some other half naked young girls. I just checked her age on IMDB to make sure she was over 18 because I was feeling a little weird about watching her like that on stage. From Spy Kids to Striptease. I believe her outfit was made of gauze…she had a bit of gauze hidding the important parts… it was pretty out there.

Paul Sorvino was great and cracking jokes the entire time but when he got annoyed which could happen pretty frequently his face went from funny man to mob guy in an instant. Another thing I noticed was that he was a lot more fragile then I thought. He had two young guys help him on and off stage (about 3 small steps) and they ran a chair up to the stage (our scene was in an opera house) for him to sit between takes and he even needed help getting in and out of the chair. He's also calling the shots. At one point he got mad and complained about not being able to hear his cue in the song and freaked until they did things his way. I'm not sure how his lip singing is going to look on camera either as he was a few words behind in every take I noticed.

Nivek Ogre and Bill Moseley pretty much stole the show… they were performing whether the cameras were rolling or not. Very fun to watch and fantastic on every take … if this movie is even slightly popular it will probably be due to these two characters.

This was my first time on a movie set and although it was great to see how it all worked I don't think that i'll be doing this again any time soon. Long day and VERY repetative.

Ok, I might think Perez is a shill and a sellout, but he's the only blogger who gets the definition of "camp" (and the only one not dissing a movie because someone he doesn't like is in it) so I have to support him.

And for all the haters, know this: Repo! was a stage show before it was a movie, and the stage show was absolutely brilliant. I have my doubts about whether the movie will live up to it, but if its have as fun and inventive as the stage show, it'll be really good. So hold your breath til we get some more info, cause you could very well be eating your own words when this thing comes out.
