In an interview with Sky News this week, she says, "I’ll admit I’ll have a puff on a cigarette and put it straight out,” she says. “I probably can give up, but I haven’t. My doctor told me it would be more stressful to give up now than to have one or two.”

She also added, “I just want to be known as a nice girl who brings up her kids as best she can.”

What a mess!

One time I went to a hospital to visit someone. I went downstairs, and I saw this woman walking along side her husband (I presume) she was 9 months pregnant, and she was smoking!!!!!!! She was due that exact NIGHT! I gave her and her hubsand an evil look. I was repulsive!

It's not THAT bad people. I work with high risk pregnant women on a daily basis, there are MUCH worse things you can do than takin a puff here or there of a cigarette. It's true about it putting stress on the baby. She obviously cares or she wouldn't even bother trying to do it in moderation.

Seriously it is healthier for your baby if you have one or two a day than to quit cold turkey as soon as you find out you're pregnant. When your body is under that much stress (from quitting especially if you smoke 1+ pack(s) a day) during a pregnancy it can be just as harmful as smoking a pack a day. Do some research before you judge.

You know what, she's probably right!!! UK doctors are much more liberal with the advice they give on what you can and cannot do while pregnant. Seriously, what do you think everyone was doing in the sixties and seventies?? Smoking and drinking, pregnant or not. Now if you're pregnant, you cant have tuna, lunch meat, diet coke, certian face washes, can't dye your hair, the list goes on…. It's freaking crazy these days.

It's true. When a woman is a heavy smoker and gets pregnant, quitting cold turkey is too much of a shock to their body and could endanger the baby worse. My husband used to see a pregnant woman who worked in his building outside smoking everyday. She told him the same thing.
