Hello everyone,
Hope you are all well?
I’ve continued to step up my match fitness over the past week and managed to come off the bench and play a part against Red Bull New York and Chicago Fire. It was a great feeling to be part of the action again.
Unfortunately, results went against us and we just missed out on a play off spot. The team had played so well over the past six or seven games, so I’m incredibly disappointed for them, but we’ll come back stronger next season I’m sure.
I’d like to wish Cobi Jones a happy retirement from playing. He’s been at the Galaxy since the club was formed and has definitely been one of its, and the MLS’s, greatest players. So, best of luck to him for the future.

Pele, Beckenbauer and the rest of them that came over to the NASL made no bones about how hard they were going to play (not very) - North Americans were pretty naive at the time and were still fascinated. Those days are over, everybody knows who the stars of the game are (and WERE) even MLS fans - they were expecting, and Beckham promised, a new level of skill and dedication would be brought to the game - he barely played and when he did was a non-factor who took a lot of dives - so much for that. The MLS should sue him for not living up to the terms of his contract.

Stadiums like GIANT STADIUM, were sold out for weeks just because of Beckham's appearance. MLS and Beckham specific merchandising has skyrockets and on all fronts have proved that David Beckham has had a positive impact on american soccer.
