Just like Heidi, sources reveal exclusively to PerezHilton.com that Audrina Patridge doesn't have a real job either.
Though she allegedly works at Sony BMG, that is not the case, sources tell us.
"Audrina only comes in about once a month to film," an insider at the record company tells us.
Additionally, the show lies about where Lauren and Audrina live.
"They moved," someone at the apartment complex featured in the show tells PerezHilton.com. "The girls come here to film exteriors and scenes by the pool. They don't live here anymore."

Did you ever think that they are still filming for this season, and they will probably show later on or even the next season when they start looking for a house, think about it, its not like its live tv it takes months of them editing and putting bits and pieces together, some parts are real some parts are fake, and probably the people who didn't know are stuck in a gullible reality. It's obvious it is a very set up show. It has been since the beginning. But it's still really entertaining and when I hear about all of this it doesn't bother me because life should not be so glam anyway.

I agree with some others on here - I knew some of the show was fake, but I never thought so much of it was. I agree with the other poster -why even put the show out there as "reality tv"? And at first I was like, why would Sony/BMG agree to let them film someone and it be a fake job. But I guess its the music business and they are tied in with MTV somehow.

What I've never understood about this show is, if it is fake (which it obviously is), why isn't it more entertaining? Bad editing, lame dialogue, boring plots—professional writers could do a much better job. My only guess is that it's because they rely on the reality stars/actors to improv. But the directors and producers could certainly be more manipulative.
And further, why do Heidi & Spencer allow themselves to be portrayed as pure evil, while doing damage control with the press and their staged paparazzi? I'm sure they could act like a nice, healthy couple if they wanted to.

The Hills is a "scripted" reality. Everything is practically fake and set-up but they try to make it look like a reality!!!! That has been known since Laguna Beach came out. Theire lives are way too boring for a real show so MTV has to make up a bunch of bullshit to keep viewers interested!!!!!!!!!!
