The ARIA Awards, Australia's Grammys, were held Sunday night and the big winners were Silverchair.

Daniel Johns and company took home a whopping five trophies, including single of the year, album of the year, highest-selling single of the year, best band and best rock album.

One of our favoritest bands out there right now, Operator Please, won for Breakthrough Artist - Single for their tune Just A Song About Ping Pong.

And Keith Urban won for Best Country album.

My god, have Silverchair come a long way from their look/sound fourteen years ago. An absolutely phenomenal band that have achieved so much. I remember their scruffy faces when they came onto the music scene at 14, and now look at Daniel in all his hotness at 28, damn!

I love Silverchair, my adolescence/early adulthood would have been entirely different without them. Much love to them and I wish them well in further future success.

I was there last night and Nicole Kidman was there with Keith Urban. For the record, Missy Higgins is brilliant, beautiful and fantastic, especially live, DOWNLOAD HER ALBUM 'ON A CLEAR NIGHT' ASAP, and Gotye is amazingly raw talent.
