Sadly this could have been predicted. Isolated communities with carte blanche powers devolve into abusive communities. Private schools, church groups, and youth centers notoriously attract the deviant & abusive. I understand and applaud what Oprah is trying to do — but she is not qualified to make all decisions herself - and should consult child psychologists before instituting what is essentially a "social experiment."

How much do you think it takes to build a school here? My Canadian University spent $12 million just refurbishing a pre-exisiting dormatory into a new student union. $46 million is a reasonable price for Oprah's school…
