The pregnant celebuspawn's rep is denying a report from the New York Post that Nicole has been seen smoking in public on more than one occasion.

Richie's publicist labels the report "irresponsible and untrue."

Uh huh.

Somehow we're inclined to believe the Post over Nicole's rep.

K.. I don't smoke cigarettes, but if I did I would certainly quit during pregnancy. However, cigarettes here and there are not the worse thing she could do. I know hundreds of girls who smoked a bit during pregnancy and who's mothers smoked. It really isn't a big deal. It's not like alcohol or drugs that have had scientific proof to cause birth defects. I think severe smoking can cause low birth weight. Which isnt great, but it isnt terrible. Get over it, people.

Who cares if Nicole is smoking?? Lots of pregnant woman smoke when theyre pregnant.. but all the sudden if it's a celeb people jump right on the opportunity to bash them? That's lame. My friend smoked when she was pregnant and she had a HEALTHY baby boy. That doesn't mean every womans baby will be healthy if she smokes, but as long as you go for your regular check-ups, eat the right food, and dont smoke more than half a pack a day, the baby will be fine.

Medically doctors will tell you it's harder on the baby if you're a smoker and you quit while your pregnant. Obviously you shouldn't chain smoke or go through your 2 packs a day as normal if you're pregnant but a cutting back big time is better for the baby then the quitting altogether. My mom had to do it with me and I came out 100% healthy.

If you've been a long term smoker prior to pregnancy, most doctors will suggest that you don't completely quit when preggers. It can increase the chances of pre-eclampsia and hypertension. Better to do it in moderation than to stop cold turkey and risk high blood pressure.

This story especially w/o pics has zero reliability. Let's face it people, no one ever wants to leave Nicole alone to live her life for two seconds. No one HAS to like her. But to call her disgusting racial names and a "whore" and just to tear into her when you don't even know her is lame.

Catherine Zeta was very preggo and on a boat puffing away. There were several pictures snapped of this situation. They were slapped all over the glossies. No one ever gave her crap the way you are attacking Nicole for something that may have never happened.

Reading this site and people saying its ok to smoke just makes me feel bad for the future generation that are going to be the spawn of these idiots. I am currently smoking and even before I knew for sure I had a feeling and quit drinking, going out to smokey places, and I have not had any caffiene. Maybe a bit extreme but if something were to happen to my kid I don't want to feel the guilt that it is because of something I did.
