Too many characters I guess. I've been watching it, and the show is known have big questions that never get answered. In season one a few got answered but there was still more. Now they're creating more questions that are annoying and hopeless to figure out.

Not everyone in the world drive a ROGUE like on the new season. It just sucks compared to last season.
I love the show, but they are going to have to start giving up some of the secrets to keep us interested. I was just saying last night that some things-BIG THINGS better be revealed by the end of this season or I will have to stop watching. It's the same thing that happened with Lost, I can't watch that shit anymore cause I can't remember what the hell is going on. And they try and keep all of these BS secrets, it makes the show SUCK.

what went wrong? well we're 6 episodes in to the season and there's no point to any of the storylines yet. Way too many storylines and way too many characters (at least 3 of which, should have been dead after the first season) make for a hero-sized yawnfest. After this week, I'm just going to start watching "I love New York 2" instead of Heroes

As a die-hard fan, I'll tell you what went wrong.
1. Maya and Alejandro are a wasted boring storyline and need to go away.
2. The heros are all separated in different places, Peter's in Ireland with boring people we don't care about, Nathan is some shaggy guy wandering randomly, and Hiro (the star IMO) is set back in ancient Japan with more people that no one cares about.
3. The Molly storyline is dragging and it's keeping 2 of the more interesting characters from flourishing - Mohinder and Matt.
4. Not doing enough with the cheerleader and new guy, and more of the same-old HRG keeping his family quiet stuff.
5. Sylar needs to STAY DEAD already, that got dragged out all season last year!
The one decent new storyline is Micah helping to develop that girl's new powers.
They need to get it together through this slump because it's a great show, the writing just isn't starting off too well this season.

I honestly watched the show for the very first time last night. And I love this blond chick so you would of thought I heard more about this show. I think there advertising must suck. They need to step it up a bit!!

my favorite scenes are Hayden doing cheerleading & with the new boy & all of the japanese scenes 
because this years storyline sucks balls. the stuff in ancient japan is boring as hell, peter is being a loser in ireland- nothing is happening!! hope the writers get a wake up call.
Screw you! Heroes is still one of the best shows out there! Just because it's not all about sex and money and stupid S**T doesn't mean it isn't good. Heroes is the best TV series out there right now! It's been really lackluster so far, the only interesting parts involving the old heroes that are being murdered. Hell, even shirtless and newly buff Milo was in no way going to save it from boring writing. However, the plague/quarantine storyline that seems to be coming soon may bounce the show back a bit, if anyone could be bothered to come back to watch.
Because people got sick of the media shoving Hayden down their throats and the creepy countdown to her 18th birthday?
Like 'Lost', they just add more questions and answer only a few, less interesting ones. It gets annoying, keeping track of all loose threads

What went wrong? The show turned into a snooze-fest. It's the same story line now as it was when they started off the season. The Spanish speaking twins story line is USELESS. There needs to be a major turn around before I start watching again.

i really liked season one, by far the best season of any tv show ever. but this season is so dull, nothing really is standing out for me. im from ireland and the fact that the irish accents are reallyyyyy bad is so annoying, esp as it was in cork, the accent down there is so different its insane and their accents were hidious! the only good thing about this season is milo cut his hair and is now sexier than ever before! DOWN WITH HAYDEN!
They have WAY too many story lines, some alright but some just plain awful. The show wasn't that good to begin with, and now its really going down the drain. It feels like Season 2 of Lost, a little slow and uninteresting. May be it will get better for the sweeps.
Carl, I think the Rogue you see Gabriel and those two boring characters driving is Claire's stolen car. Remember, the guy in jail said he stole it, and it's the same color, etc. They'll probably tie it back in somehow. But, overall, I agree with some of the comments. A number of these characters and or stories are boring. The two Mexicans…boring and too emotional, Claire….annoying, her boyfriend?,….ridiculously annoying not to mention creepy, and the first season's characters seem to just pop in every once in a while. Also, yes, the Molly story line is a yawn fest. However, I still watch it and look forward to it every Monday. I didn't like Micah's character last season, but now I find him interesting. There's just way too much going on. and, yes….it's time to fix Hiro's situation. It takes up half the show and it's stupid.

I have no idea what went wrong, perhaps it was the lackluster finale but I am absolutely loving this season! I have no understanding as to why utter garbage like Dancing with D-listers or American Idol garbage takes so much precedence when it comes to ratings. Heroes has presented some strong story writing in recent weeks but perhaps that is their downfall, intelligent writing. Linear series with strong plot structure, effective characters and a modicum of thought often tank while they air on network TV and then excel when they are subsequently are released on DVD. Its a shame that TV execs don't pay as much attention to what gets downloaded as viewer behavior has also changed.
At any rate, I would much rather live in a world devoid of crappy singing and dancing contests and chalked full of good story writing but perhaps I am a minority here. I wish there was more Heroes, Lost, Battlestar Gallactica, Deadwood and Dead Like Me type of things out there and I wish people had the patience to watch them on TV instead of mindless drivel, but that is just me.

Because they ought to wrap up one storyline before they start a new one. A few storylines going on at once is great, but too many makes you lose interest. They should take notes from Days of Our Lives, All My Children etc, about five short storylines and three long ones, no more than say 25 people is the perfect format but the writers probably think they're too good to take advice from soap-writers. Sure, it's cheesy and stupid and the actors suck, but DOOL has been on for more than 40 years, obviously they are doing something right. Like limiting the number of storylines and characters
Still the show is #5 with A 18-49, a major buying demo. It would have to slide drasitically to get threatened with cancellation. This is non-news
because of hiro in japan… ando doing nothing… you barely see anything with jessica/niki… EVERYONE has powers… peter doesn't remember who the hell he is… everyone is too spread apart and they have too many storylines that aren't good going on. last season there was more group involvement and it all revolved around the same thing. figuring out their powers and saving the world. NOTHING MAKES SENSE THIS SEASON, nothing seems related and if the storylines are related, you don't get it.
oh and please…. someone get rid of the both and sister mascara killing twins. they're completely BORING.
i just think sylar should get his powers back… go back to stealing powers and let them all stop him. it may be overdone now but at least it kept this interesting.

the show is soooo boring. i fell asleep on three episodes. for the time i was awake and for the other episodes i've seen, i sit there wondering where the hell is the story is going. it was so awesome last year. each episode was a cliffhanger. it's sad but Heroes went from the greatest show on tv to damn near the worst/boringest.

I'm about to stop watching if it doesn't get any better REAL soon! The stories are weak and boring. With the exception of the first episode, the show has become commercial mania! Even during the show, there are commercial popping up on the screens, and it's annoying!
Hiro, the most fun Hero, has become the most boring. If they don't bring him back to the present quickly, they're going to continue losing audience.
Nothing is being revealed, and more heroes are popping up everywhere, so they can't even keep us posted on the characters we already know!
And to top it all off, I heard so many peoople talking about the season finale, and I wasn't that impressed. But okay, I thought they would have some brilliant explanation for it all. It's been five episodes into the second season, and there's still no clues to when we'll find out what happened last season! And people have the balls to complain about Lost which is a much better written show!
It's not as interesting as the first season. People don't care about these new characters - the twins, Micah's cousin, etc. Most fans want more Peter, H.R.G. or Claire, but most of the story is based on new characters or Hiro stuck in ancient Japan. I'm still watching, but I don't know for how much longer.

They're adding WAY too many new characters, they haven't resolved any of the questions they asked last season or this season, and there are too many story lines happening at the same time. It's getting to be just like Lost, where every show feels like a stall until the next show. Heroes used to be my favorite show, but now I'm just getting bored with it.

LAME. and then theyre all worried about this little girl that no one cares about. and "the company" … who cares about "the company" … they have super powers … combined they could wipe out the company. why is everyone split up all over the place? make a team and kick some ass. we dont care about the old people dying, create a new bad guy and start to fuck shit up.

The show is loosing viewers because people have very little interest in all the characters reconstructing themselves after Peter blew himself up. What is happening right now is a lot of building and back story and none of the stories are connecting yet. The difference between this season is this season and last season is that in the last season they jumped into the meat of the show and told a good chunk of the story in flashback episodes that made the general audience go "oooooh, so that's how that happened." They're actually going in order this time and noone knows where it's going.

There are too many cooks in the kitchen now. I don't know if there are new writers on the show, but if so, they need to be fired. They are ruining Heroes; and here is my list of reasons:
A) The have separated Hiro and Ando, which was the show's comical duo.
B) The whole ancient Japan storyline sucks, sucks, sucks, etc…
C) They aren't showing enough of Jessica/Nikki
D) I can't stand that annoying Mexican chick. In fact, the twins' powers are lame.
E) Sylar no longer can use his talents.
F) If I were Peter, I'd get out of my contract and find other Hollywood offers ASAP. The whole amnesia thing is trite. I hate his ugly Irish girlfriend.
G) Eric Roberts is not guest starring. The new head of the company is not intimidating and is pretty geeky.
H) What in the hell is Peter's mom able to do?
I) What happened to the invisible dude, Hiro's sister, and the FBI girl?
J) The heroin junkie was axed.
K) Claire's boyfriend is a terrible actor.
L) The virus plot is becoming tiresome already.
M) Most importantly, they haven't attempted to explain what the hell happened between Nathan and Peter while in outerspace.
Yeah, I think they can now add that the rating have dropped 3,000,001 in points because I won't be watching this crap next week. I'd rather blog on Perez's site.
