Prison Break Killer Sentenced To Jail!

Actor Lane Garrison was sentenced to 3+ years in jail on Wednesday.
A judge gave the former Prison Break star 40 months for the death of Vahagn Setian, a 17-year-old who was in the car Garrison was driving while drunk and high. Two other passengers were also hurt, but not critically.
Garrison must also pay restitution in the amount of $300,000 to the victims' families.

Restitution is when you make a contract, and you benefit the other party…but they breach…and you want the amount you benefited them back. They must pay you restittuion for the amount they were benefited from the contract, in which they never performed.

Really what kind of enjoyment is this family going to get out of 300k? It is not going to bring their loved one back with all the support he got from the Simpson family his restitution should've been higher because they sure did help him get a lawyer and what not their income should've been considered part of his.

Are you kidding? His sentence is very short considering what happened. Probably because of his fame. If you or I had some that, we'd have gotten 5 years minimum.
and for that I respect him, he has issues. This will hopefully make him a stronger and better person.

With credit for time served and good behavior, he'll be out in 16 months. He'll write a book, do the talk show circuit and become a bigger star than he ever would have been. Killing that fool was the best career move he ever made.

as a friend of vahagn setian, the boy killed in the crash, i am deeply hurt by some of your inconsiderate comments. this incident absolutely floored everyone. some of my friends contemplated suicide, and lives were ruined.. vahagn was an only child. he was one of the most amazing people i have ever met. there is truly no one like him, which makes this even harder to deal with. lane garrison was attending a high school party with two 15 year old girls.. the man is 26. I just don't understand….
i don't quite know what to think about the sentence, but I speak for everyone involved in this when i say that we are all glad it is finally over. it's been almost a year since the crash and the healing has yet to begin.

why are people bringing up Brandy, its totally a different situtation. She wasn't drinking or doing drugs she just had a car accident, thats why she's not in jail.
Vahagn's death is definiitely a tragedy that no words can fully encompass — no can words encompass what the people left alive — including Garrison — must be going through…
but, to "vahagn's friend": a Celbrity Ggossip site is not a good place to come expecting sensitive relating to your grief (ie it's kind of pissy to scold people for their comments, on a site that makes it clear up front what it is)… and also: how would feel if Vahagn had been driving, as drunk as he was, and wrecked the car, and killed Garrison — because that could just as easily have happened. Would you want him to be put away forever?

Re: Chase – Sweetie, First off Perez doesn't read this shit. Second, wrongful death is a separate civil action, and one has not been instituted in this case. Second, restitution can arise from either wrongs (situations like this) or unjust enrichment (what you all got in a tizzy about). Don't go calling people uneducated when you are so obviously no Einstein yourself.
