Prison Break Killer Sentenced To Jail!

Actor Lane Garrison was sentenced to 3+ years in jail on Wednesday.

A judge gave the former Prison Break star 40 months for the death of Vahagn Setian, a 17-year-old who was in the car Garrison was driving while drunk and high. Two other passengers were also hurt, but not critically.

Garrison must also pay restitution in the amount of $300,000 to the victims' families.

Restitution is when you make a contract, and you benefit the other party…but they breach…and you want the amount you benefited them back. They must pay you restittuion for the amount they were benefited from the contract, in which they never performed.

as a friend of vahagn setian, the boy killed in the crash, i am deeply hurt by some of your inconsiderate comments. this incident absolutely floored everyone. some of my friends contemplated suicide, and lives were ruined.. vahagn was an only child. he was one of the most amazing people i have ever met. there is truly no one like him, which makes this even harder to deal with. lane garrison was attending a high school party with two 15 year old girls.. the man is 26. I just don't understand….

i don't quite know what to think about the sentence, but I speak for everyone involved in this when i say that we are all glad it is finally over. it's been almost a year since the crash and the healing has yet to begin.

Vahagn's death is definiitely a tragedy that no words can fully encompass — no can words encompass what the people left alive — including Garrison — must be going through…

but, to "vahagn's friend": a Celbrity Ggossip site is not a good place to come expecting sensitive relating to your grief (ie it's kind of pissy to scold people for their comments, on a site that makes it clear up front what it is)… and also: how would feel if Vahagn had been driving, as drunk as he was, and wrecked the car, and killed Garrison — because that could just as easily have happened. Second, restitution can arise from either wrongs (situations like this) or unjust enrichment (what you all got in a tizzy about). I'm not saying that its excusable, so please read my entire comment before judging. If you do some background history on him, hes had a pretty rough life. He left home at a young age (and lived with the simpsons) and left his sister with an abusive mother, when he turned 18 he applied for full custody of his younger sister and was denied because of his age. Three years in jail is a very small price to pay for taking the life of someone. He was drinking and doing drugs and the young boy paid the ultimate price - I hope he learns something from his time in jail and I hope he serves the full sentence.
