1) I agree that it's mean to pick on his mom. She's his mom, not a fucking movie star. I see people with worse teeth everyday, like the guy I saw working at a pizza shop last week whose teeth were all broken and jacked up.

2) Maybe she already had her teeth fixed. She could have had larger gums and undergone the procedure to minimize their size by making her teeth larger. Or it could just be the natural gum recession that occurs with age.
